4 stars Legend brought to Life
This British TV series did great justice and even greater imagination to the legend of Robin Hood. Similarly to Jack the Ripper, there are many ideas as to who Robin Hood was. During the run of the series, both majour thoughts on the matter were dealt with.Jason Connery plays the part of an Earl's son turned defender of the oppressed. While this video actually marked the untimely and unexpected demise of the show, it was one of the better episodes made. By the time this one was made the actours who had played in the series were so in tune with each other that it felt as if they were a family.
Incidently, this show predated Kevin Cosners Robin Hood by many years and was the first place that a Saracin (Arab warrior) was ever used in the legend. Too bad Mr. Cosner couldn't tip the hat the direction it was due.
Enjoy the film. Hopefully the rest of the series will some day end up on tape or DVD.
