Worked great!
I had no trouble with the "pink dog" syndrome that others seemed to mention. I washed it once and then put it to the test. I would recommend this one to anyone with a dog that gets wet.

Absorbent, but full of dye!
This is a very absorbent towel, as advertised. It's a good size, too. But the first time I washed it, it bled all over my jeans and stained the inside of my dryer. The good thing is I learned how to clean my dryer. But I'm not looking forward to washing this again.

great gym or travel towel
This towel is identical except in color to the Aquis extra-large towel sold as a human bath towel. (I bought mine for human use because I liked the color better than the official human ones.) It packs much smaller than an ordinary beach towel, yet is more absorbant. It also dries much quicker than a cotton terry towel, and doesn't get smelly as quickly. It is great for travel or the gym. It is not as soft or luxurient as an ordinary towel so I do not use it for regular home use. One caution about the red color: Make sure you wash the towel separately for three or four times as the red color does run. I haven't had this trouble with the other colors.

I have a pink dog!
As some of the other reviews have indicated, the red dye from the towel comes off and turned my white dog pink. We had to wash the towel 3 times before the dye stopped bleeding. Now it is fine, and the towel works pretty well, but make sure that you do not wash anything else with it the first couple of washes.

Don't use on White dogs
The towel only comes in red and bleeds when washed. It also bleeds onto white colored dogs. The dog is now nicknamed Pinky. Even though cleaned several times it still does this. It also is not nearly as absorbent as implied. Overall a good product with a bad drawback for light colored animals.
