Great Toy
I purchased this toy for my 1 year old neice. She is walking somewhat by holding onto furniture, etc. She took to this toy immediately- she just loves it. I think it is because she enjoys the feeling of independece when she can walk while pushing the lion. I highly recommend this rider/walker.

Lots of fun when learning to walk
My daughter has had lots of fun with this toy. She was an early walker (7 months), so we got this at 6 months. She has played with it for months now and loved it. The music is fun and she will sometimes push the nose just to hear the music and dance. Great item and good value.

very satisfied
I purchased the Fisher Price stride-to-ride Lion for a one year old. She was very fascinated with the lion and the noises it was making. She was more interested in pushing the lion versus riding it at this point. I think for the money, it was a great purchase. I would buy it again for someone else.

It's a good toy for new walkers
My daughter was late walking or even pulling up, and I was obsessed with the thought that she needs some sort of a walking toy. After some research we settled on this version of Stride-to-Ride Lion that we got for $10 on Craigslist. I don't like the obnoxious music, but otherwise the toy is versatile, sturdy and engaging for a young toddler. Anna took to it right away. Interestingly, she was never interested in a "walking" configuration for this toy, but she immediately figured out how to ride on it backwards and eventually forward. She still likes to play with it and to carry stuff in it even at a ripe age of 22 months.

Helpful for New Walkers
My little girl was crusing around holding furniture before we got this toy for her first birthday and it helped her get the confidence to step out on her own. Now that she's walking, she still enjoys pushing it around the room (we use it on a carpeted surface). She also loves to push its nose to hear the music.
One con -we have a small living room and she runs out of floor space pretty fast and doesn't know how to turn!
I'm looking forward to putting the seat down and having her test it as a ride toy. We tried this option recently, but she wasn't sure what to do with her feet.
