Customer Reviews

5 stars Great Calendar
I received the 2007 calendar from niece for Christmas last year, but no follow-up gift this year. So I was pleased this calendar was still available from Amazon. It's a great mix of math problems, where the answer is always known. I have a masters in math (from 30+ years ago), but there are days I can't solve to the answer. This is a fun calendar for any math lover out there.

1 stars Big Disappointment
Thus calendar is a complete waste of money. The calendar is cluttered, the graphics are shoddy, the information is useless, and the author is inane and sophomoric.

4 stars Great fun, but why so many errors?
I've found this calendar great fun, but I was a little shocked when I found what I think is an error in the first month. When I found another error in the second month, I was even more shocked. There is no excuse for this inaccuracy. But I suppose detecting the errors is part of the enjoyment. It makes you feel smarter. It would be nice, however, if the publisher would create an easy to find errata page.

I also agree with the other reviewers who felt that the layout was inconsistend, particularly the use of several different typefaces and type sizes. It could be done better.

But this said, I highly recommend this calendar. Besides buying one for myself, I've bought three others for my friends.

5 stars Great Teaching Aid
This calendar is great, providing a quick daily introduction in a high school algebra class or just for personal problem-solving practice.

3 stars OK for brain teasers
I bought this calendar because I need space in which to write appointments. No dice. All space is filled with math stuff. I like math, but this calendar is like a SAT review. Well, it's better than swim suits ...
