Product Description: Pink, pink, pink. More than anything, Pinkalicious loves pink, especially pink cupcakes. Her parents warn her not to eat too many of them, but when Pinkalicious does . . . she turns pink! What to do? This sparkling picture book, filled with such favorites as pink bubble gum, pink peonies, pink cotton candy, and pink fairy princess dresses, celebrates all things pink while showing that being yourself is best of all.

To each his own
This is my daughter's favorite book, and I have to say, my favorite book to read to her. It's funny, cute, AND has a good story. I am strict on teaching my daughter good manners, eating healthy, and do not tolerate disrespect from ANY of my five kids. My daughter gets that Pinkalicious is rude because I've taught her that. She understands that eating too much sugar will make you sick because I've taught her that. It's still her favorite book to read because it is a fun book! Just like Bugs Bunny, Spongebob, etc. are bad roll models, but they are fun to watch! So, like I've said in the subject line: To each his/her own. If you are easily offended, don't buy the book. If you don't think it will affect your child's demeanor, have some fun! It's a good book!

Fun for her to hear AND me to read!
My aunt got this book for my 5 year old daughter because her granddaughter loves it SO much! It was a huge hit for both of us! It is so much fun for me to read to her and she giggles along with it. Everything is great about this book, from the pictures to the wording to the way it flows and makes us both giggle. I've even caught my 8 year old son reading it to her!!! It's our favorite book!!!

Favorite!
This is my daughter's (age 3-1/2) favorite book! She can "read" it to us almost verbatim because we've read it so many times. It has inspired us to make our own Pinkalicious cupcakes, although we don't eat as many as the book's main character. I know some people complain that it has a negative spin on healthy food, but my daughter already has the concept of good food versus junk food, so for us it was not an issue. She knows too many pink cupcakes will give you a tummy-ache or cause you to throw up. The illustrations are very whimsical and interesting even for Mom.

Just for fun!
Both of my girls(5 &2) love this book. It has had no impact on their love of vegetables nor has it encouraged disrespectful behavior. My 5 year olds favorite line is "you get what you get and you don't get upset". My daughter even dressed as Pinkalicious for Halloween. She looked adorable. I'm not sure why so many reviewers are overly concerned about the "lesson" of the book. I feel very comfortable in the lessons that my children learn from me and the wide variety of books that we read. My daughters fully appreciate the difference between reality and books. We also have David Shannon's A Bad Case of the Stripes and that is another favorite.

This is NOT a book to teach life lessons people!
My daughter loves this book and I can't believe that people are taking this so seriously! If you are looking for a book to read about good manners then this is not it. If you are looking to get a few silly laughs from your pink-loving little girl then buy it. My daughter is almost six and she knows that the little girl in the story is acting naughty but I would have never thought to not read the story to her b/c she may replicate that behavior. It's a silly story people! We like to joke around and laugh in our household so maybe that's why I like it and YES my kids DO eat vegetables. ;)
