Upon recieving this carrier 3 days past schedule as amazon hadnt delivered it to them it had to be trucked in behind a 53ft semi {even though product shipping wt listed at 35 lbs} which took out three neighbors cable/phone wires coming into our residential neighborhood.Product was unpacked and in good shape but hinge assembly on front wasnt put together I took it to my local bike shop who used a press to put hinge together as they sell Thule products and said it should have never left the factory in that condition.having mounted the carrier its mounting system is great alowing me to move it between vehicles with ease.I chose the 603 based on size and didnt want anything past the windshield .very little wind noise if any is heard on either vehicle and it seems to be a good solid carrier though it does have some flex to it.I have seen these carriers perform well in inclimate weather and thats what i need for winter travel up noth

Thule Ascent 1500 Cargo Box
This cargo box is perfect for my Toyota Rav 4. I was looking for a cargo box that was wider than the ones you normally see and not as long as I didn't want it hanging over my windshield. It is high enough inside to fit small luggage and/or my daughter's stroller. I cannot imagine life or a long weekend without it.

Thule Ascent Carrier
We bought this carrier for our 2007 Jeep Commander Ltd. The carrier was a breeze to mount and it holds alot of luggage so the 2 boys had lots of room to use during the trip. The Thule securely fastened to the crossbars of the factory luggage rack and made no wind noise at all. Our gas mileage didn't get effected much at all. Plus it looks pretty decent compared to some of the boxes I've seen. Spend the extra money instead of the fabric carriers. Your luggage will be dry & secure inside of the Thule Ascent. We're very happy we got this and plan to use it alot for our future vacations.

Great product.
Mounted on a 2003 Toyota Sienna. Very easy to mount and unmount with the built-in clamps. Very secure. Have used it on a number of trips with no problems. I love that you can open it from either side.
