Product Description: Trouble is a board game with a simple concept: Be the first player to send your four game pieces all the way around the board, moving spaces determined by rolls of the dice. The "trouble" of the title comes when an opponent's piece lands on a space occupied by your piece, thus sending yours back to the beginning. Parents will likely remember the game from their youth, or at least remember the game's signature gimmick, the pop-o-matic dice roller. The Pop-o-matic is a dome-shaped clear plastic housing for the dice in the center of the board game that automatically tumbles the dice when pressed down and released. This feature, plus the board's plastic slots that hold the game pieces in place, make Trouble a perfect travel game--car or boat motion won't upset the game's progress. It is indeed satisfying to press, slap, or pound the pop-o-matic. It's strong enough to withstand the frustration of the losing player(s). The game's simplicity makes it easy to jump into without elaborate explanations or practice games for new players, but it's utter lack of strategy will likely limit interest to just a few rounds. --Porter B. Fun Game
The game is a fun to play, but my kids (6 and 3 years old) didn't quite get it. The board quality is pretty low (just a sheet of molded plastic over a piece of cardboard), and there is no place to hold the pieces besides the flimsy box the game comes in. I don't expect the pieces to stay with the board very long, and will probably have to use a ziploc or something to keep it all together.
The game itself is fun. My 3 year old could push down the popper herself with some effort, and that was her favorite part of the game. I agree with others that younger kids will get frustrated not rolling a 6 to get a piece out of home. I allowed them 2-3 pops to give them a chance to play. The game is more fun with more people, but that also increases the chance of sending someone back to start. We tried to make it fun, but the kids weren't real happy about getting sent back after so much time trying to get out.
I'd recommend it to others, but would think it more fun for 7-12 years old or so.

I always love this game
This is one of my favorite games. I love to play it with my husband, family and friends (its more fun when 4 people play). I love to chase people and send them back home. You need to be conscious not to be send back home... watch every move by yourself and other players. Make correct decision (moves)..some mistakes may cause you to lose.. You also need luck. The quality of this game is just ok not great (good enough to play).

Very Fun
My 5 year-old son loved this game. It also has taught him how to play games by the rules and helped with his counting.

My kids don't get into Trouble.
My two boys received this game as a gift a few days ago, and I was rather happy about that because I was thinking of buying this game for them myself.
Well, it proved to be too much of a logical leap from the simple board games my young boys have played to date to this beginning level strategy game. Your milage may vary on this point, but two aspects of this game that didn't help were:
First, the "Pop-o-matic" takes considerable force to operate. My five year old had to put his full 50lb body weight onto it just to get it to work, and it was difficult for my old son to operate too.
Second, the "have to roll a six to get to start" rule is stupid. You just wait forever to get to even start to play. We changed the rule so you can start with either a six or a one, and that helped a little bit.
Sadly, my kids lost interest after about 10 minutes. So, another unloved game in the game pile.

Love Getting Into Trouble!
I purchased this game when Hasbro had the rebates and made it an irresistible 4 dollars (on amazon)! We have quite a collection of Family Games for Family Night. This game is easily played by all, including our 5 year old. I guess it could help kids with counting, but as it only goes to six, not too much. But, what it does teach is patience and persistence. There is a tiny bit of skill involved as well as you have to think about which piece to move to keep safe with your roll (or pop). Thinking ahead and strategic planning easy enough for a kindergartener. Plus the kids love popping the dome and we are not hunting around the living room for an awol die. I am happy with the purchase.
