Customer Reviews
Keyboard and Mouse Functionality
I bought the Iogear GCS632U MiniView Micro USB PLUS KVM Switch about 2 months ago. I admire the sleek and compact design. I am using Microsoft Windows Vista (and Ubuntu Linux) on one machine and Windows XP on the other. While I turn on the machines, the boot process displays "Keyboard Failure." I really don't know why it does that and it happens even if the other machine is turned off. I don't have problems with the keyboard, though.
One thing I noticed was the varied response of the switching process. The mouse cursor does not move when I switch right while the other machine is in the shut down process. When I get to the other machine, the cursor does not move for about 6-10 seconds. At first, I thought it did not work, so I had to restart both computers. But I tried to observe after a while and noticed that there was a delay.
Other than the concern I mentioned, it has been working great since I used it. The hot keys are functional. I never dared changing the original settings, though. The audio works great. I will be working on something in one desktop and use Skype voice on the other. My friend is thinking about buying one after he saw how it works.
I hope this review helps.

Don't waste money on Belkin
If you are controlling two computers via USB keyboard and mouse, this is your solution, and at a reasonable price.
I put it in place half a year ago, and it's done nothing but work.
I am especially pleased that the key used to toggle between systems can be changed. Belkin is committed to using Scroll Lock-which doesn't even get included on some keyboards.

Avoid This Piece Of Garbage
I'll admit that I didn't fully research this product, or else I would have avoided it. As with many many people who left reviews here, the keyboard function basically just stops working for no reason. The only way to get it working again is to reboot both computers, and then you are lucky to get it connected for more than 5 minutes. There should be a class action suit against Iogear for knowingly putting out this garbage.

IOGEAR KVM -Simple, easy, works great
I've only had the IOGEAR GCS632U for a few weeks, but this unit worked great right out of the box. A buddy of mine has used one at work for several months and has had no problems. Great KVM unit for the price.

IOGEAR Micro USB PLUS KVM with audio and cables
I have a Dell 8300 dimension desktop computer with dual 19 inch monitors running windows XP home edition and a Dell laptop XPS 1500 running Windows Vista. My laptop is used mostly for acedemic purposes but when I am at home I love the convenience of plugging up to the IOGEAR and a simple double tap of the scroll lock button to switch my laptop to one of the dual screens on my desktop. The sweet thing is all of this was just plug and play. There was absolutely nothing special done to configurating its operation. Another neat feature is my desktop does not even need to run if all I want to do is use my laptop. All I need to do is turn on one of my monitors. You can also set it up so you can use one screen or two simultaneously. One last thing that I like, is to be able to listen to my ITunes or watch a movie on my desktop while working on my laptop as I am doing right now! How sweet is that? I must say that I will have to give this a thumbs up. The only thing I have not tried is the audio cables because I simply do not need to use it.
