Notebook Cooler
Its OK.
At best a 3/5. It doesn't keep my Macbook Pro as cool as I would like it to be, but it certainly runs a lot cooler than before.
Its plastic, I thought it was going to be Aluminum, which would help cool it down if the fans were integrated into the cooler well.

A great fan cooler
After reading some of the reviews from buyers , I had a mixed feeling about purchasing this product . I decided to go ahead anyway , and I was not disappointed . I use the chill mat on one of my "stationary " laptops at home , so am not too concerned with the exposed wires .Were I to be using this laptop in a mobile situation, I might think differently, but it has fit my needs perfectly , and for the price, wow !
I use this chill mat on a Dell Latitude , and its footprint fits perfectly there too, have never had it shift or slide yet,
All I can say is, I am quite a happy camper with this product, and if for some reason I would need to buy another one for my stationary laptop, I would do so , in a heartbeat .. If I had one complaint , it would be, that it has no power light, to tell if the unit is runnning. The fans run so quietly, that at times I have to reach underneath the chill mat to feel the wind draft , to assure myself it is indeed running ..
In short , I have noticed a remarkable difference in the heat build up (or the lack thereof ) and my computer runs cooly. For the price and shipping costs, its a mere 2-3 lunches in comparitive costs, not bad !

so-so product
It works - however -
1. draws too much current from my old usb 1.0 (dell inspiron) jack and sometimes the computer gives warnings.
2. makes about as much noise as my laptop fan.
3. it can only be used on a desktop, not on your lap.
4. workmanship is below average.
Also, the unit draws air from the top where computer is - not sure if this is more effective than blowing to the computer.
