fun way to learn for beginners
I'm a beginning bellydancer & wanted a video to supplement the weekly class I attend.I bellydance for fun & fitness, plus it's a great conversation starter! So far I've only worked thru the first video. I find the video easy to follow, working thru stretching & practicing the various moves & at the end of the video putting it all together into a simple dance routine. The twins perform the practice part of the routine in regular workout wear and then get dressed in full costume for the dance routine. Love the costumes! Be sure to wear a hip scarf even while you practice, you'll feel more like a dancer! The twin's performance is elegant & tasteful.Bellydance is an earthy, sensual, womanly dance. I have seen some performances that are over the top in deliberate sexual provacation. Not the case here.I even encourage my 13 yr.old daughter to dance with me with this video. Seeing many of the moves performed from a different angle helped me "get" it a little easier. This is not a "cardio workout", but I do feel more supple, limber & toned up after perfoming the moves.I also have noticed that my posture is improving & I feel more graceful.Good basic instruction for beginners, advanced dancers may find this too simple for them. I consider it to be a good supplement in addition to weekly class am looking forward to moving on to the next two videos.

I thought these videos provided clear and easy to follow instructions. The videos were tastefully put together which made it enjoyable to watch as well as to follow along.

Fun, Easy, and Amazing
Sensual Art of Bellydance is an amazing set if you want to get a decent work out and learn bellydancing. The instructor's voice is calm, not shouting, and the steps are easy to follow and that's coming from someone with two left feet.

I don't keep up with exercise very well, but I've been working out to tape one for a year now. I feel as if I have mastered it so I have just moved on to the second tape. Both tapes have been challenging and fun. Also I'm losing weight, and hey that's always a bonus :)

But the best thing of all is how you feel during and after. The elegance that is associated with bellydance can lift anyone's self image... and this is coming from someone with a very large "image" ;)

If you want to start learning bellydance this is for you!
I bought this set from my book club and it is great. I have all of the bellytwins workout videos. But if you are wanting something learn from but not necessarily a workout then get these. The twins take you step by step through three different types of dances. At the end of each video they take you through the routing three times, each time being a little faster. Also a wonderful collection for those of us who already bellydance, to add new moves to our routines. The twins give us a new and refreshing change of pace in bellydance instruction!

Once again Neena and Veena outdo themselves and give us this amazing set of videos. Their instruction is easy to follow and not only teaches basic isolations but incorporate them into routines that you can actually learn and do on your own.
