Product Description: Of all the species on earth, we alone attempt to explain who we are and how we came to be, through the prisms of both science and religion. How has the tension between the two played out? Today, the theory of evolution still is dogged by controversy. This program explores the creationist movement and its arguments by drawing on real human stories of people struggling to find a balance between faith and reason. Through the perceptions of theistic scientists and credible religionists, we underscore the point that science and religion are compatible, although they play very different roles in assigning order to the universe and a purpose to life.

MONKEYS vs. SPIRITS
The movie was about God's place in evolution. The movie showed Christians battling wiht their faith and the theory of evolution. It showed both sides of the controversy with highlighting either side to make one seem better thatn the other. It showed the trials and other importatn things that affect the teachings of evolution.
For the most part I found the movie to be believable and educational.I learned many things that I'd never heard before. For example I learned about "Christian Evolutionist," whinch means the person is a Christian, but also believes in evolution. Also, I learned about the different things scientists have found to prove evolution and creationism. To prove creationism they use the book of Genesis where it talks about a flood. To prove evolution they use different fossils and the changing of animals as they move into different areas of the earth. Finally, I heard questions that caused me to want to study further inot the areas of discussion. One of the questions was, "Why can't a Christian scientist prove evolution."
Some of the movie I found to be unbelievable. I don't believe that you can ba a "Christian evolutionist," because when you say your a christian you believe that God created the word and that we came from dust and in evoulution you believe that we evolved for apes. Secondly, I did not like how they presented the arguments of each side with out first defining what evolution and creationism is. Finally, I did not learn enough about each side from the movie to be able to pick my side of the controversy and defend it to its fullest. Though some things could be fixed, overall, the movie was great and can be used along wiht other information to help others leanr about where they came from.

Beginners
This is a good movie for the people that are beginning to learn about both Evolution and Creationism. This movie has a good balance between both ideas. It also shows that it is possible for someone to believe in both Creationism and Evolution. So this movie is great for the people that want to learn the basics but for people who are ready to go into the situation deeper should use a different movie. But it is a great movie is for school because it does not try to convince the viewer to go one way or the other. It just gives you the facts and lets you decide on your own which is great for students who are trying to determine what to believe in and what to think. So I would definitely recommend this movie to schools. I enjoyed this movie because none of it was pointless. Every minute of the movie had a point, and was discussing something. Which is great because it kept my attention because I was afraid I was going to miss something. It was also great to me because I never thought about being able to believe in both Creationism and Evolution. But this movie put that option out there for me which was great. I did not find one thing bad about this movie and once again I would recommend this movie to any school that is teaching their students about Evolution and Creationism.

Evolution part 7 what about god
This movie displays many different and unique opinions on the battle between evolution vs. creation. Many new ideas are brought up which I have never considered. The movie was also relatively humorous. The movie displays many opinions over the question but does not come to a decisive conclusion of it. It also bgecomes a bit repetitive as it wears on.
This is a very good movie to watch in class do to its broad expanse of opinions and high eductional value. First, however it does help to learn what each side is talking about. This movie doesn't try to change people's opinions. Rather it is trying to explain the opinions of students who are split down the middle. The students are mostly science majors who are at a christian schools. Overall this is a solid movie that is good for classroom viewing.

Evolution, Part 7: What About God?
The film, Evolution; Part 7:What About God?, gave both sides of the the Evolution versus Creationism an equal chance to tell their side of the story. In the movie many people explain their theories on evolution. There all sorts of people telling their theories. There were true evolutionists, true creationists, people half way, and people that were totally confused about the whole matter. But, everybody that was in the film had evidence and historical facts to validate their theories.
I found the film very enlightening because I had never heard the whole story of evolution, being a Catholic. I still do believe in creationism but I also believe in evolution in some instances. I have great respect for both sides because of all the proof each side has. But, who knows, both could be incorrect.
I found the conversation Nathan Baird had with his father about the issue very interesting because he mentioned the Big Bang theory and how it compliments creationism. I also believe in this theory because it explains the universe being created from nothing and just appearing. Who could have done this? It could have been God.

What about God?
"And the Oscar goes to...Evolution, Part 7: What About God?" I am surprised I have never herd that statement. The film, what about God? Was an excellent documentary video.
I enjoyed watching it because the movie didn't push issues upon me, and that is vary hard to do when discussing creationism and evolution. The movie gave vary critical and excellent points from each side. I was also vary impressed that the movie interviewed people that had vary strong opinions on evolution or creationism, and those like me, who are torn between the two. That made the movie vary easy to relate to. The movie also interviewed people from all over the country. The talked to a young students who are torn between creationism and evolution that attended Wheaton College in Illinois, which is primarily a Christian school, that has a lot of students majoring in science related fields, a group of students that attended Jefferson High School in Lafayette, Kentucky, who believe that Creationism should be taught with Evolutionism in the same class room.
I really only have one bone to pick with the editor of this movie. I did not enjoy the way he edited this movie, the movie skipped around between all of the interviewees, by doing this it confused me after a while. I believe that the editor should have done everything about the same person all together instead of breaking it up.
I also believe that the movie was quite long. I would have gladly giving this movie 5 stars if wasn't 2 hours long. If the movie was around an hour or so I would have been vary happy.
In conclusion I was vary fond of Evolution, Part 7: What About God? to be excellent movie, although it may be a little much to considered it to be Oscar worthy it was a great film. That is a huge compliment coming from a person who goes to church only on Christmas and Easter. I cannot wait to find out if there is a sequel.
