Customer Reviews
I thank hell's bells for the music I listen to now. I also thank my own good sense.
Growing up in a fundamentalist baptist church school in the late eighties and early nineties, I have not much more to say about the "Hell's Bells" video I was forced to watch in a Wednesday night youth group session other than: "Thank you! Thank you Garett, thank you Ellison, thanks Woodward, thanks to everyone who showed me this video!"
I'm thankful I was shown this pathetically laughable piece of paranoia induced rubbish because it showed me, at a young age, how ignorance begets ignorance. Phew!
Thanks to this video, I began to admire guitarists (though in this video AC/DC's Angus Young is slanderously portrayed as the Devil's own handyman) in the rock biz and began to have a true appreciation for the music and craft itself.
Thank you Hell's Bells! Long live rock.
I have to go now...time to listen to the devil's (or is it God's?) music!
I know it's ONLY rock'n'roll, but i like it!

Sensationalistic propaganda
Sensationalistic propaganda preying upon the fears of the herd, exagerrating, leading, paranoid and presumptuous, though to those who know better, it can be rather amusing for its cultural misanthropological recollection with a wisened retrospective.
Just another manipulative presentation profiting from the Satanic Panic fiction. Features shilgne 'backmasking', taking Satanic literature out of context, and irrelevant cross-referencing.
From the terrible attempts at goofy humor, the bad acting, to the unintentionally funny dialogue {the fact that the mulletted host retains his composure is also amusing}, attempts at attaching serious 'meaning' to lyrics, and substandard sets, Hell's Bells displays the level of ignorance typical with fundamentalist mentality, so if this actually served to supplement their flocks, then good riddance, it has served as a stratifier.

Not really a very good deterrent, but still entertaining.
I remember being shown this video back in grade school. I went to a private Catholic school, and the teachers thought it might keep kids from listening to metal when really it introduced me to some bands I have never heard before. People forget that kids love stuff that offends adults. Plus, some parts of the video are just laughable, like how Ozzy's "Crazy Train" killed a living plant, despite the fact the the song actually has a positive message. I would love to get my hands on this video years later just for sheer amusement. If you are a metal fan of any sort, this and "Heavy Metal Parking Lot" should be on your must watch list.

Life Changing
Hell's Bells is life changing to say the least. Having been a lead guitarist for many years, I found the videos to be right on. The Christian perspective is balanced and each person is encouraged to draw thier own conclusion. It is an eye opener if someone really wants to know the truth.
