best humminbird feeder
If you like to observe hummingbirds...and want a feeder that is easy to clean and attractive...this is the one to get. I have bought many over the years...many very colorful, blown glass, etc....but usually leaked and were hard to clean. My prettiest feeder was ignored by the hummingbirds. This one is everything I've been looking for. I thought it looked so plain in the ad....okay...a little plain it is....but hung in the tree...it looks sleek and neat...the color red really seems to attract the birds....and the hummingbirds love it. Also, I like that it has a perch for them to stand on while they drink...proof positive...simple is better...get this one!

No drips - I'm happy
I bought this feeder to avoid the dripping that all the jar type feeders I've used have been afflicted with. This one can't drip unless it's tipped so problem solved. The little moat is easy to fill if ants are an issue. The thing I like best though after having used it for awhile is the thoroughness with which it can be cleaned. There are no nooks and crannies for bacterial buildup. My Hummer's took to it immediately and expressed no skepticism. Not to me anyway.

Well Designed feeder
This item benefits from intelligent design. The hook screws into a brass nut imbedded in the base, so that should never be a problem. The top, or red portion, snaps of for easy cleaning. The top also shades the solution,slowing the break down. The ant moat works well. If you are going to feed hummers,be advised that the solution needs to be changed every two days in 90 degree heat and every four days in the 80s. The little guys don't drink much, so most goes down the drain. This unit is easy to clean and refill. I add a cup of table sugar to 32oz of water and store in a nalgine bottle in the fridge. The solution will last two weeks which is how long it takes to empty the bottle. I found a good article on the web on the feeding of hummers and it recommended this product.This is the one you want.

Hummer's Dozen + Two
I have purchased at least 25 hummingbird feeders this year(some from Amazon). Until I bought two of these to try out I was never satisfied.

I either had drips or they leaked or they were hard to clean. Believe me I don't think there is one type feeder that I haven't tried.
This is the last feeder I have tried and it is absolutely the best. I have put all the others away, and as of today I will have purchased 14 of these!

I started out with only two feeders. The day I placed my first feeder in June I had hummingbirds(Ruby Throats only here in Delaware).
They fought, so I placed 7 feeders on my acre+ property. That solved my problem and now I estimate that I have at least 8+ birds feeding.

Please folks when it is hot, change and clean your feeder every other day. That way we keep these wonderful little birds safe. You can do it with this feeder, it is so easy to clean.

I have purchased enough hummzingers to keep a set clean and dry to fill every other day.

If you are going to feed hummingbirds YOU MUST take responsibility to keep their feeders clean and filled with fresh solution. If you cannot do it, please don't feed them! If you are doing your job you should NEVER see mold on a feeder.

Please don't just wipe with a paper towel. Put your feeder in hot tap water and scrub it. I will stress again it is easy to keep these feeders clean.

For really good success put out more than one feeder in different locations on your property--and plant a few good hummingbird flowers and bushes--heck, they will even come to hanging baskets of Petunias. Or wear a red shirt- they may even try to get a sip of that!

Effective design
This and the larger feeder of the same design are the best I've found. Easy to use and keep clean, the birds sit on the bar and rest, giving us more opportunities to enjoy them. I highly recommend this feeder.
