Good all around
I bought two atomic clocks, this one and the LaCrosse Technology WT-3102B 10-Inch Atomic Analog Clock, so I will compare them. This one has the added feature of a weather forecaster, which has been only fair in accuracy. Time-wise this clock is flawless, so in addition to the weather forecast for the day, you get the exact time(to the second!) all in one glance. Do note, however, that it might take an extra minute to see the weather feature because of glare, but this is dependant on the lighting conditions.
The main negative to me is that, in my opinion, this one is not as attractive as the LaCrosse. The Weather Channel clock's base paper color is a dull white, and the cover is plastic while the LaCrosse clock, has a bright white backround and glass cover, both of which I find more attractive features. Of course, someone else might argue that they prefer the W.T. features (i.e. plastic can't cause the same damage if it breaks that glass can). The LaCrosse also has the benefit of being considerably less expensive (I paid $13.)so if you don't need the larger size and the weather feature I would recommend checking out the LaCrosse as well.
There are also digital atomic clocks with backlight available, so if you prefer the visual clarity and a night time view of lit up numbers you may want to do a search for these. I personally did not choose the digital because the light emitted from digital clocks at night conflicts with recent medical recommendations to keep your interior as dark as possible when you sleep at night in order to insure the most deep and healthy sleep, and I was using these in personal areas. Obviously not an issue if placed away from the area you sleep in, and some of these looked very attractive, though the prices were not nearly as good. There are also digital clocks, such as the LaCrosse Technology WS-6002U-A Atomic Digital Wall Clock that Amazon sells for $19.99, which do not have a backlight, so you get the digital read out without the light. There are many options to choose from.
I am glad I own one of each, for the different features they provide. I can recommend the Weather Channel clock, as it does as promised and works perfectly well with zero problems. I gave it only 4 stars because I would have liked it to be better looking, and also because of the slight difficulty reading the weather feature due to the combination of glare and a pale weather image.
