Customer Reviews
Very poor customer service by Amazon for this item
I would give the watch itself a higher rating, but after four contacts with Amazon customer service, I still haven't received the instruction manual and my husband is not able to fully appreciate his gift since it's quite technical to learn without any instructions. We found some basic instructions on the Tissot website (no thanks to Amazon), and were sent a second copy of the Tissot catalog, but still no instruction manual. I would recommend that, although the price is great from Amazon, folks look elsewhere for this watch so that they can actually use it as more than just a time keeper.

TISSOT MENS T TOUCH
I fully recommand you this product. This is a very high quality watch and the package included was really appreciated !
This was a Christmas Gift, and it has been wrapped careful for a low price, thanks for that.
I am most of my time in Europe because of my job, and I was happy to receive this gift within the TISSOT ORIGINAL Package, wonderful red box of the BRAND.
You won't regret your purchase, go ahead, the price is already a gift !

dressier outdoor watch
The watch provides a dressier appearance than Casio or Suunto outdoor models with temp. altimeter, barometer and compass functions. A dial illuminator would definitely be nice.
Here are two important points:
1. No watch of this type can give ambient air temperature without removal from the wrist and allowing enough time for equilibration.
2. It is inherent in all pressure altimeters that once the correct altitude is set, this setting will be accurate for only a few hours. Since altimeters work by sensing changes in atmospheric pressure as you change elevation, normal pressure changes caused by high and low pressure weather systems will register as altitude changes also, so the altimeter must be constantly calibrated (every 3 or 4 hours) to compensate for this.

5+ Years of Great Experience
I'm about to order another T-Touch as a gift. I live outside of Vail, Colorado and my watch has been a faithful companion to the top of many 14,000' peaks, dunked in cold trout streams in Alaska, dipped in salt water and used as a compass on the flats of the Bahamas. It's clearly the most popular multi-function watch of outdoor enthusiasts and sportsmen (and women) in our community. I see a lot of others on friends wrists and all are happy owners. One of the complaints I've read about is having to reset the altimeter. Because altimeters work on barometric pressure, of course you have to be cognizant of recalibrating. I've often watched the variance in altitude display change during a change of weather. So after five years of hard use I can happily say that this watch has been the best one I've ever owned. Still on the original battery and no scratches on the crystal!

Reasonably "Okay" Watch
I bought this watch from Amazon about 45 days back for $ 390 + Shipping. When I got my watch I was all excited about the features it had to offer and wanted to write a review immediately (when I would have rated it exceptional). I resisted myself to see how I would feel about the watch after 45 days. This is the first Tissot watch I owned, and the reason I chose Tissot was due to my pleasant experience with Swatch analog watches I owned previously. When I was looking around for a digital-analog combination, Tissot T-Touch looked like a best choice, reasonably priced and made by a trusted Swiss company. Though I am not a big technogeek, I prefer to get latest gazettes with some really cool features. Tissot T-Touch with its crystal touch feature definitely caught my attention, which I initially thought was a cool thing to show off to my friends and strangers.
Coming to the functions in the watch, I hate to constantly recalibrate the Altimeter on my watch as it frequently keeps recalibrating itself. The place where I live is close to the ocean and I am about 541 feet above sea level. When I adjust my watch to this reading, it keeps pretty good accuracy for couple of hours. But when I comeback to the same spot a day or two after, the readings fluctuated between 375 feet to 730 feet on two different days. The thermo feature on the watch, as others have mentioned in their reviews, works to show the surrounding temperature only when you are not wearing it for 30 minutes or more. When the watch is on my wrist it always shows the average of surrounding temperature and my body temperature. Though I haven't found much use for meteo (barometric pressure) feature, my watch shows not so great correlation with the actual readings (The last time I checked the pressure was 993 hPa on my watch while the internet weather reported 1016 hPa for my place).
The alarm feature on the watch is cool (none of my previous analog watches had this feature and I am not a big fan of digital watches). Chrono feature is displayed and works in digital format. The feature I have used extensively is the `compass', which shows the magnetic north and south. This can be especially useful for someone with `outdoorsy' type personality. The watch is a bit heavy (which I like), due to its rugged steel casing and fits well on my wrist.
Other than this I feel the watch to be reasonably okay. Please do not buy this watch for its features, as the sensors on the watch are not so reliable, except for 1 or 2. If you are looking for a nice Swiss watch priced in the low end of the medium range, with a rugged look and which fits nicely on to your wrist, Tissot T-Touch is for you.
