Product Description: With fun animal sounds all around and plenty to do, little ones will discover what a busy place the farm can be. "Neigh" says the horse,"baaa" answers the sheep, "cluck!" chirps the chicken, "moo" ... says the cow, "oink!" ... squeals the pig. They'll even discover what some of the animals feel like, when they pet the "cottony" cow, "hairy" horse, "woolly" sheep, and the "squiggly" piggly tail! From "furry" to "fuzzy" and everything in between, Touch & Feel Animals are a fun way to introduce children to a world of interesting textures and help develop their sense of touch.pAs toddlers grow, they'll learn about life on a farm that's just their size, with Farmer Jed and his animal friends! The farm includes Farmer Jed, cow, sheep, horse and pig; the chicken stays attached to the barn. Figures are surface washable with a clean, damp cloth. All pieces store inside. This playset also comes with a special free sampler DVD featuring three charming stories of the Little People friends. Playset requires 3 "AA" (LR6) alkaline batteries, not included.

Boring for those over 3
My daughter had this from her toy library one week. She just turned 4. She found it very boring, as did I. It would be ok for a 2 year old.
Very heavy and bulky, and not much to do with it.
Personally, I'd buy Playmobil 123 for a young child. It's more interesting, also more aesthetic. This is kinda ugly.

Great fun and educational toy!
My two boys love this farm. It is very good at helping them learn their animals and animal sounds and it keeps them occupied for a long time. The fur adds another educational edge, as the children learn textures. Great for children with sensory integration issues, as Easter Seals recommended the toy my neighbors son with Aspergers.

Fun and educational wrapped in one neat package
This was purchased for my Grandson who just turned 2. During the 4 days that he was visiting us he spent many hours playing with the farm. It is very durable and a great value. I would highly reccomend the toy for any toddlerFisher-Price Little People Animal Sounds Farm.

fun toy for the barn lover
My 2 1/2 year old son loves barns & I had to get this for him. He loves the door that goes up & down, makes the animals go in & out & just can play with it for hours. I do recommend this for parents to get for their kids.

Animal House?
"Animal House?" That's what my 2.5 year old asked when I showed him this toy. I said, yes, and they call it a "barn!" Well, the next time I said animal house, he corrected me, "no, barn!"
There is something wholesome about farm toys, and our older son cannot get enough of 'em, so this toy was an instant hit. Our younger son is 8 months, so I bought this with him in mind as well, thinking our older son would outgrow this toy pretty soon. But for now, he's really into this toy and animals in general.
One nice thing is we live on the edge of the city, so we can actually point out barns and farm animals on weekend drives.
The toy itself is just fine for the money. I think FP must have dropped the fake fur, cuz I just bought this and there was no fur. Five animals + farmer and all have a sound except the goat. It's a simple, compact toy which is what I was looking for. I was able to find a cheaper at a local retailer vs. Amazon (sorry guys, but I give you plenty of business so I'm not feeling at all guilty, just honest)!
