Avg Customer Rating:
Product Description: No glitter, no glitz just the best workout you've ever had. totally unique. Based on a rare form of soft style Kung Fu. No impact. The unique soft fluid motion enables the most intense workout available, without the jarring impact associated with typical martial arts aerobics systems. This video does what's necessary to work your muscles hard. Most moves are done for a longer duration than is typical to really work the muscles. Aprox 50 min. workout keeps you in the cardio zone long enough for the body to burn fat. Don't expect this to be like any other video. No cheerleaders, no hype, no hollywood, just a great workout without straining the tendons and stressing the joints.

Customer Reviews
Severely repititious
Yes, the quality is poor, but beyond that, the repetitiveness is maddening! The odd side step/arm twist exercises go on for eternity and don't seem very effective. The one positive is that the video is safe for your joints but it's not the best workout.

Don't waste your money on this boring video
I'm shocked by the positive reviews of this workout. For one thing, the video itself seems very low quality. The music and background are both bad. Also, the background people are unprofessional. They look like they're going to crack up every time the camera's on them--plus they don't seem like they're even trying. I could overlook all that if the workout were good, but it's not. It's so BORING and not very challenging. For example, for about ten minutes all you do is right punch, left punch. I almost fell asleep on my feet. And there's another part with this weird arm choreography that is just so ineffective. It seems like it's just for show. This workout doesn't meet my definition of cardio at all.

I liked it.
I bought the video based on the recommendations and I am pleasantly surprised. While not the slick production number of some other kickboxing exercise videos, Cardio Karaticise isn't bad. If you want a Hollywood production number with a cute, spunky aerobics instructor exhorting you on to new levels of suffering then this isn't for you. However, if you just want to flail your arms and legs around long enough not to have to always wear pants with elastic waistbands then this might be a video to add to your collection. While the exercises are aerobic they don't have the jarring motions that can be tough on the older exerciser nor do they have the bouncing type motions. It can also be done in tight spaces. The exercises are good for beginner to intermediate levels and where joint pain may be a problem. I would rate the exercises as being intermediate and if that is too fast just do every other one. That's what I did and I was still sweating like a pig after 20 minutes. This isn't quite kickboxing nor is it self-defense. It's more like a Tai Chi on fast foward. The tape is a little pricey but I will keep this one.

Not worth the wait
I just recently bought the video and was eager to try it based on the other reviews that people had left. When I got it, I popped it into the VCR to watch and I have never seen a more poorly made video. It looks as though someone grabbed a camcorder from their closet and decided to make a workout tape. I was very dissatisfied with it and found that all it was basically good for was a laugh as the exercises were not very effective. I wouldn't recommend this video to anyone, and definately not for the price that I paid for it.

The best one yet!
This one will make you sweat. It's 50 minutes of low impact aerobics that will have you drenched by the time it's done. Easy to follow, though some of the routines are a little confusing at first, but in no time you should get the hang of it. I need a workout that doesn't take up much room to do it in because I have a small, cluttered apartment. I also need a workout that has no jumping up and down for the same reason - my downstairs neighbors would come after me with shotgun if I did. There's about 5 minutes of jumping jacks in this workout, but that can be modified so you don't have to actually jump and make too much noise. The rest of the workout is virtually noise free.
