My Newest Happy Place- Hideaway
The Weepies make my heart happy and this CD lives up to my expectations! From happy to calm to lonely and thoughtful, this album is fit for Saturday errands, a run by the shore or a romantic dinner at home. Be prepared to sing along, rinse and repeat!

What a wonderful sound...
The Weepies follow "Say I Am You" (one of the best albums of 2006) with "Hideaway." It continues the duo's trademark sound--hushed, ethereal vocals, lyrics that use metaphor and analogy to reference a wide range of topics, and understated, gorgeous production. The music is acoustic-based with deft touches of electric guitar scattered throughout. There's even a surprising little pop-rocker at the end. "All This Beauty" is a great kicker to a polished, heartfelt project. If you like groups like the Kennedys, you will swoon for the Weepies and "Hideaway."

Love Them!
I love the Weepies, but this CD sounded an awful lot like all their other work. Don't get me wrong, it's worth having...it's just very very similar to past CD's.

Poetic and Chill Equals Amazing
First of all, I love The Weepies. This album is another brilliant addition to their discography. If you're looking for something to just relax to, then this is it. The best thing is these lyrics actually have meaning behind them unlike the tunes commonly heard on the radio. It's so refreshing to hear such unique lyrics pertaining to life and not just love/sex like more popular artists. I think The Weepies album "Say I Am You" was more of a hit for me personally, but this one "Hideaway" is also very good. My favorite songs on this album are: Hideaway, Antarctica, Old Coyote, and Just Blue.

Weepies are happily together.
After hearing "Hideaway" and "Antarctica" in separate days, I decided to buy the folky album. I was buying on impulse, which usually turns out good. This was no exception. Stand-out songs from the album are in the end: "Old Coyote" is a nursery rhyme; "Just Blue" is my favorite along with "Lighting Candles." Pick this one up if you're jonesing for some melody and harmony.
