5 stars Kindom Hearts - An Amazing Game
This is the first Kingdom Hearts game I have ever played, and it was a great experience. I loved this game so much that I reached the maximum level (Level 99).

In this game you enter a castle where everything is controlled by cards. These cards have pictures of items, magic, and weapons on them. You can collect diffrent types of these item, magic, and weapon cards. You can even summon Disney characters, like Donald Duck, Goofy, and even cloud from Final Fantasy 7. Each card has a number from 0 to 9. Numbers 1- 9 change the strength of the cards and 0 should be used after an enemy uses a card. If your card is a lower number than the enemy's card, your card will be under powered by the enem's card. You can even chain together cards into combos. For example, if you put 3 thunder magic cards together, you get a move called thunderaga which damages all the enemies in the battle field. So this game has a lot of strategy.

Kingdom Hearts has a great story line and amazing graphics.

Graphics 5/5 *****
Story 5/5 *****
Battle System 5/5 *****
Strategy 5/5 *****
Replay 3/5 ***
Length 4/5 ****

The levels are very diverse and all have to do with a diffrent Disney movie.

In conclusion, I am sure you will like Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, and will find it an enjoyable experience.

3 stars It was a good game.
If you are a fan of Kingdom Hearts, this game is great for you. However, the fighting system is not as good as Kingdom Hearts I and II and probably becomes boring after playing for hours.

4 stars Definitely Worthwhile
Kingdom Hearts: CoM is definitely a game worth playing. It explains the gap between the first two games and clears up a few mysteries that KH fans were wondering about.

The graphics are very good for a GBA game. Although the 2D graphics are a little hard to move around in battles,(such as the big fat heartless that you can't even get behind to attack) overall it is fairly good. The cinematic cutscenes are very good. The scenes actually look like original KH graphics, just on a lower quality system.

The sound quality is pretty good, though nothing outstanding.

The gameplay is what caused me to just give this game a 4 out of 5. I was expecting the classic battle system that I fell in love with in the original games. Instead, it was an entirely new battle system incorporating cards. You could just attack with the same cards over and over...but that doesn't really help. There are times when you must use a combo of three cards, and when you do, the third card disappears for that battle. There is also a limit to how many cards you can have according to your CP (card points). Prime Cards cost less CP but you can only use them once per battle unless you use them in a combo. The cards also have different numbers and attack accordingly.

I found the battle system rather frustrating and unreliable at times, but still managed to finish the game. There are times when you must strategize your cards for a while to get in some combo attacks so your enemy doesn't break your cards with a card with a higher number. I also find the 0 card very frustrating. When you're using your best cards in a combo against a boss, they will use a 0 card against you and null your combo. Then your 3rd best card will be gone and you can't even use it again.

Besides the battle system, I found that going back to all of the worlds was quite annoying. Since Sora had lost his memory in Castle Oblivion, he doesn't remember ever visiting lands like Olympus Coliseum or Agrabah. Sora visits every single land in the first Kingdom Hearts which might upset people like me who don't want to go back and do everything they just did in the first game.

What I did like, was that they showed you what happened with the other members of the Organization before the second game. I really liked seeing scenes with Marluxia, Vexen, Axel, and Larxene because it cleared up some of the storyline. After you complete the game with Sora, you can go back as a new character and see what happened with Lexaeus and Zexion.

If you are a die-hard Kingdom Hearts fan, I would suggest playing this. It is definitely worth your time if you have a lot of patience.

3 stars Annoying
Let me start of by saying that the battle sytem stinks! Cards? That is the absolute worst idea for a battle system ever! Also, the levels are either boringly easy or frustratingly hard. Don't listen to people that say that you need to beat this to understand Kingdom Hearts 2. I played KH2 without even touching KH1 and I had no trouble at all understanding it! If you really want to see the ending of this, read something about it online. The only reason I even bought this game was because I wanted something Kingodm Hearts related to play on my Nintendo DS when I had nothing else to do or if I was on an airplane or something like that. I think this is an ok game, and I LOVE the Kingodm Hearts games!
