Product Description: Discover the beauty of the sea and take part in various activities such as swimming, exploring marine life or cataloguing tropical fish with this new Touch! Generations title. The beauty of Endless Ocean is that you can do as much or as little as you like. The relaxed and calm atmosphere of the game gives you the freedom to explore special locations such as shipwrecks and underwater ruins, discover and interact with sea-life, complete fish logs or simply relax in the soothing environment. The game begins with you onboard a diving boat, with a crewmember that provides advice and tips on finding the best locations for fish and helps you advance the storyline. Assume the role of the diver, opting to go into the water to explore sea-life at your own pace utilizing tools such as a camera or fish bait. In the cabin on the boat, you can access the fish log to check out the fish that have been spotted, as well as carry out missions like photographing marine life. These missions unlock content, such as new items to use underwater, or different diving gear that can be used to customize your diver. Navigate through the depths using the Wii remote and guide your character using the pointer's cursor, visible as a bright blue dot. Interact with fish or plants and discover new species while building up your fish log. Befriend companions like a dolphin which will become your partner and with whom you can train and swim with. The Wii's unique Wi-Fi Connection Service allows players link up with your friends. By exchanging friend codes, two players may dive and explore the ocean together.
Looking to kick back and relax? Endless Ocean features several soothing modes. On the deck of the boat is a deckchair that allows you to sit and watch the sea. Alternatively in the aquarium section of the game, you can select fish they have seen and add them in an aquarium for a closer inspection. The relaxed setting is further heightened with a

5 stars An Endless Adventure
This game lets you experience the thrill of under water scuba-diving in a visually stunning blue-green world. Explore pristine coral reefs, hidden caves, whale sharks, dolphins, and discover Atlantis. What more could you want...and NO BLOOD!

5 stars Great introduction for non-gamers!
My husband and I find ourselves in a somewhat rare role reversal. I LOVE video games - he's merely lukewarm on them and has a small attention span for complex games. But he's an avid scuba diver and marine biology buff, so I thought I'd take a risk and buy this game for him.

He LOVES it. He says that it's as close to scuba diving as you can get on a screen. It's very relaxing and mellow, and he loves just wandering around looking for cool new stuff. We were both thrilled when we ran into our first humpback whale.

The underwater pen is trippy - it's fun to be able to draw a picture and then have it just float there indefinitely. You can swim through your own creations and then look at them from the other side.

This is one game we've been able to enjoy together. We've even added MP3s for our own soundtrack, though I haven't yet figured out how to get it to play more than one song on a dive (rather than repeating the same song until we go back up to the boat and change it).

The graphics are stunning and the gameplay is very laid back. If you're looking for active gaming, this is NOT your best option. But this game is sort of like watching a National Geographic video but getting to interact with it at the same time. It's definitely worth a look if you're into marine life or animals.

4 stars Pretty Cool
This was one of the first games I got for the Wii. I want to start off by stating I really like this game. I'm forty years old and I thought my 2-year-old would like it. I've stuck with it and it's been a lot of fun. Below the water the graphics are really good. All the wildlife behave very naturally, though occasionally (rarely) pass through one another. Above the water its pretty bad. People move around like very early CGI and all the dialogue has to be read. Some voice-over would've been better, it's not like there's a lot of it. There's a plot involving the discovery of a new species of whale but that doesn't even appear until the game is very nearly finished. The items you find in the water don't really seem to lead anywhere. You discover slabs of rock with ancient glyphs on them but never find out what it means, who these people were, or what happened to them. The sunken ship and downed aircraft were neat to see but I want to know their story, too. The game tapped into my desire to explore "strange new worlds" but left me wanting more. Its just such a letdown when I've reached the edge of the map, can see a vast swathe of ocean in front of me, and can't go any further. Even if the map was spherical and it just started at the other end would be acceptable.
All things aside, I still loved this game and whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone tired of the same old thing or with children. You cannot die in this game and nothing gets eaten. I look forward to a sequel. I think a completely fictional underwater world would be really, really neat. The similarly-themed dinosaur one is just horrible, looks like a high-school computer project.

5 stars Refreshing Educational Relaxing
I bought this for my kids as a nonviolent option to available video games. I also homeschool and thought it would be a good educational extra. They love it (I love it)! It is a no pressure game with lots of rewards based on your investigative desire. Graphics are really nice for the Wii. There is alot of reading so if your little person does not read well yet you will have to be there. I would recommend it highly if you are trying to steer away from the violent games.

5 stars Almost like the real thing...
I came across this while looking for wii games that we could play as a family (we have a 2 and a 4 yr old) and the Ocean aspect is perfect (as they both love the aquarium and I like snorkeling and diving).

I've played this game more than anyone and I am addicted. As many said, there needs to be some work done on the above water scenes and the people/dialog, but otherwise, its a hit. I love swimming with the Whale Sharks, the sperm whales and the other critters at 500 feet below the surface.

Definitely recommend this game for anyone looking for a good way to unwind after work.
