almost a classic
this is a fun little game by nintendo, very well put together. it's a pretty diverse game too, for the less-than-diverse game that is tennis. a lot of different matches to play, different modes / minigames, lots of different opponents to beat. it's a pretty easy game to beat, even a very mediocre gamer like myself is able to finish it in a few weeks.
what is not cool about this game is the extremely tedious and boring rpg, the endless annoying conversation between matches that you can not skip, but have to plow your way through. aaarghhhhhh it sucks! another minor point is that some of the power shots are almost impossible to see coming, let alone block, and can only be countered by using a defensive powershot. and why can opponents do curve shots all the time, but we can not?
other than that, this is one of my favorite games on the gba, still the greatest little system available, with an unbeatable catalogue.

Kinda Simple but Same Mario Tennis Fun
Overall the game is a good one considering it is a GBA game, and it is mario. I personally have liked all of the tennis this is, the first handheld tennis game I have appreciated

Good Tennis Game, But....
My kids really enjoyed the tennis play. And this worked real well with my plan of teaching them to play tennis (in real life!) b/c I've found that they master a game (or at least the rules) on the playground much faster if they have a game to play at night. But... we were disapointed to find that if you play this game on the DS, you have to restart from the beginning every time (no saving) & there's no "quick game" to get you right into the tennis play. This is a story-based game that tends to be more story than tennis.

It's cool!
This is Mario Tennis, this game is realy fun. you could play multiplayer, and other two games in it to. There is power tour, exhibition, and training. you get lots of new peaple, but the ones that stay here are, Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Peach, Donky Kong and Waluigi. The point obout power tower you have to find your way to the tennis players to play tennis, There is also training to. And exhibition is, just playing tennis. you could use the SP, DS and the gameboy but the psp I dont no abuut that. I almost forgot, The people also have Power-Ups THIS GAME IS SO MUCH FUN!

One of the most fun games I have.
This game is incredibly fun! You have a choice of going on a power tour, Playing an exhibition game, or do some training. The good thing about power tour is that you make your own character and use him to go up ranks in Junior, Senior, and Varsity classes. If you were successful with those, you take a trip to the island open. If you win the island open, Mario invites you to Peach's arena which is up in the clouds, and play unstoppable exhibition games.
The good thing about Exhibition games is that that you a variety of choices after you've completed the power tour. You have Mario, Luigi, Peach, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, Bowser, any players you've made, and kids that you've beaten during the power tour. You can choose doubles or singles"(Doubles is much more fun)". Your opponents' or partner's skills could be be Novice, Intermediate, Expert, and Pro.
Pros.
-A lot of characters
-A lot of varieties
-You could do training to build up your character
-you could choose 4 different levels for your opponents
-you can choose 5 different kinds tennis courts
-the power tour is so adventurous
-Characters have power ups
Cons.
-Exhibition does'nt have Yoshi or Wario
-You can't have Two against one
-the power tour characters are really stupid looking
