5 stars Great Game
Installation is seamless (not big deal on Win Vista, but you need to run it under Win XP compatibility... after the 1st update that is not needed anymore)

After that is a well made RPG as Blizzard knows how to do it and a great way to interact with people all over the world :)

5 stars 1 of a kind
Bought this as a replacement set for wife's laptop while we're deployed since she bought a new one. Both of us have tried several different MMOP games out there, and there's nothing better out there in this genre yet. Sadly probably never will be either. The graphics, artwork and over all gameplay are unrivaled. There simply is nothing close to equal. If you're looking for a fantasy style game and don't mind paying the low monthly fee, buy this. You won't regret it. The popularity of the game is true... no hype at all.

4 stars One of the best possible online games around.
NOTE: THIS GAME IS ONLY PLAYABLE ONLINE. ALSO, SOME PARENTS MAY NOT WANT THEIR CHILDREN TO BE EXPOSED TO SOME OF THE PEOPLE YOU CAN FIND ONLINE WITH THESE KINDS OF GAMES!
This is great game if you're looking for a good time waster and don't mind dealing with some of the personalities of the people online. The following is my review of the original game and its expansion pack, although the battle chest does come with strategy guides as well.

World Of Warcraft
A highly addictive and surprisingly beautiful game.

My friends had played this game for a month or so, and I finally gave in. So there I am, a tiny little level one without the slightest idea as to what the hell I was supposed to do. Luckily, the beginning levels do a good job of teaching you how to play the game and at the same time make you feel important to the workings of the world. That's part of what makes this game so great, you feel like an important hero, but at the same time know you're not the only one out there. In fact, the farther you advance in the game, the more you start to work with those other people, making you feel more and more like a soldier or drone than a hero, which kind of took away from the fun of the game for me. Also, the world and scenery are perfect. Its familiar enough for you to relate to it and make it believable, but different enough to make you feel like you're in a whole new fantastic world. They also give you enough rewards along the way to keep you leveling to 60, like my favorite, the mounts. i had an awesome raptor for my troll. Once you hit level 60 your journey is far from over, there is PvP, raiding, professions and more. So there is something there for just about everyone, although I did a little of everything. I give you one warning, if you plan to get to 60 and make something of yourself like become high warlord or down Nefarion, prepare to take the time out of your social life. This game had a lot of heart put into its development and it shows, there's just some kind of magic to the game.

World Of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade
Complete letdown considering how great the original was. Its become a monotonous gear race.

I was really excited about this, I even had it pre-ordered. When i first started it up after the long install process I made a blood elf to check out the new Silvermoon area. I actually thought it was quite beautiful, the art design for it reminded me a lot of Fable. I goofed around on my Blood Elf mage until level 12 then went onto my troll priest to start the grind to 70. The leveling process wasn't as painful as i was worried it would be, and actually went by rather quickly. The new environments were pretty cool looking, my favorites being Nagrand and Zangarmarsh. The rest were actually pretty bland. The brief time I spent leveling managed to make me feel like a lone hero again, but that feeling soon went away as I hit 70 and began raiding and saving money for my epic mount. Eye of the storm was a disappointment and the rest of the battlegrounds were overrun with idiots who just spent all day AFK to get honor points. I soon noticed it became extraordinarily easy to get epic pieces of gear. There was no more challenge, in the original if you saw someone with epics you knew they accomplished something, in BC, if you saw someone without epics they either just hit 70 or are completely incompetent at playing their class. The flying mounts were neat but you couldn't even use them in Azeroth. Oh and of course the raid bosses are as boring and robotic as ever, they don't even have the epic feeling the ones from the original had. So here I am, a level 70 troll shadow priest with a netherdrake, full frozen shadoweave and other epics from kara, and my raid group is on High Astromancer Solarion. Its everyone's dream right? Wrong, I was having less fun being on top of the world in BC than I was being in the middle in the original. This is an expansion with nothing but more of the same but without any of the epic feel to it. It doesn't feel special like the original. I have now quit the game because its just become a monotonous gear race.

5 stars Good Game for Parents with Teenagers
My sister and her husband play WoW in Arizona and gave us a trial run of it when we were out to visit. My oldest daughter, who is 12, enjoyed the game and so I purchased the box set with Burning Crusade and 3 months of service to see how it goes. My husband used to play Diablo, which is very similar, and so it was easy for him to pick up WoW as well. We currently live in the midwest and my daughter and I can play together online, or with my sister and brother in law. That way, my teenager is being monitored online, which makes her Daddy and I happy, and she can earn time online by doing chores around the house which makes her happy (maybe not the chores part...). We can also chat with the relatives while we play. The game experience is well created and expansive enough you don't get bored running tasks -- and it will take us a long time to work up to the higher levels. It's easy enough to play the lower levels that my 4 & 5 year olds can play a bit, too, and the graphics are not bloody or too scary for them -- though it is a game created for adults, so I wouldn't recommend leaving children on unattended.

5 stars Amazing
World of Warcraft Battlechest is an absolutely amazing product. I was skeptical about online gaming and have avoided. But about a month ago my tv died while I was sick and since I was bedridden for 5 days I could only sleep and read so much. So I purchased WoW Battlechest and started playing. It is by far the best video game experience I've ever been a part of. I am not a complete convert to the online gaming rage that has been happening for years...I finally get why so many people for the online experience and why World of Warcraft is the number 1 online game. Truly amazing. I already know my PS3 will become my blue-ray player and occasional gaming device now that I have found World of Warcraft. I highly recommend this product.
