Unique taste
It has a pleasant smell. I really like the flavor of this ground coffee. It is not as rich as whole bean coffees, but what I really liked about it is that the taste is almost sweet. Lavazza's has a sweet smell and a slightly sweet taste to it. There is no bitterness whatsoever with this drip coffee and no acidity to it at all although it does lack a bit in body.

not what i imagine
taste like "green" cofe. and with my expresso machine does not stay creamy. i prefer the blue label, its 100 times better then this one.

Delicious Brew in Coffee Press
I purchased this product with reservations about the grind not the flavor. The flavor speaks for itself--it's just right. But, the grounds are very fine. They do slip through the filter on my Bodum coffee press. So, as long as I use a tea filter when I pour the pressed brew into my cup, I manage to filter out about 90% of the fine grounds. The flavor of the brew makes up for any of the inconveniences of having a double-filter. Definitely repurchasing this coffee.

Excellent ground coffee
Although I refuse to use any pre-ground coffee with my Rancilio Silvia, I saw a number of positive reviews for this coffee and decided to give it a try. Although pre-ground coffee is generally dry (and this was no exception), the Lavazza provided a very nice body, heart, and crema for a 25-second double-shot. I am surprised at these results, considering my previous difficulty brewing the 'perfect' shot with other, more popular whole-bean espressos (read: Starbucks).
In fact, the coffee has an excellent flavor--not burnt--but this is also a medium roast, which would account for the ability to discern the actual flavor of the espresso. As other reviewers have pointed out, this coffee is not bitter, but rather mellow and smooth.
I have not used this coffee in a drip coffee maker, so I cannot attest to its versatility. However, being pre-ground with a consistent flavor and excellent consistency, I would suggest having a can of this around just in case you want a quick espresso... or at least quicker than grinding the beans yourself.

Good choice for espresso at a reasonable price
I have a Francis Francis espresso machine that is used a few times a day. Lavazza makes an affordable espresso with a nice crema. I used Illy and was looking for a less expensive option. Compared to the Illy dark roast, it is more earthy, citrusy, and tangy. Smooth, but with a twist. It is not as dark a roast, which I actually prefer, but still very good. I still keep both at home depending on my mood!
