Farouk CHI
Ceramic Flat Iron
Model GF-1001
The CHI can be considered one of the most versatile Hairstyling Irons on the market today.
The CHI's ergonomic design allows the user to flip hair up or curl it under with a twist of the wrist. The CHI is ideal for straightening and smoothing the hair while the ceramic plates seal in natural moisture. It's great to use prior to a Dry Haircut. The ceramic coated paddles help prevent scorching hair color and helps reduce styling product build-up.
Featuring an extra long swivel cord to prevent tangling, the CHI has a concealed on-off switch inside the handle to prevent accidentally turning the unit off when in use. The heat paddles are recessed from the edges to prevent skin burns. Will automatically heat up in less than 10 seconds. Temperature is preset at 150-180 degrees Celsius(302-356 degrees Fahrenheit)

Works well
Overall i think this straightner is one of the better ones. It works well so far. I keep reading reviews that say it breaks easily. But so far so good. It does get my frizzies to stay away and makes my hair super straight. My only complaint is that it seems to catch my hair and pull and break it. You really have to do very small sections at a time or hair gets caught in between the plates and the back plastic piece. I think its probably pretty cheapily made.

1 Inch Chi is the Best
I have used the 1" Chi and the 2" Chi, and from my experience, the 1" Chi is much easier to use. It is much easier to handle than the 2". I can even make my hair curl under or flip out much easier with the 1" Chi. I actually prefer not to have a temperature setting. It seems that the 1" Chi gets hotter than the 2" with the temperature setting, and works better for straightening. Since it doesn't have the felt on it, you do have to be careful about not burning yourself, but in general, that's not too much of an issue for me and my 13 year old daughter. I have also bought a $70 hair straightener in the past, and it is worth it to get the Chi instead. It is awesome. My daughter and I both use a 1" Chi. She also likes the 1" better than the 2" Chi.

Chi Flat Iron + My Hair= Pure Love
I am so happy I bought it!!! I've just ironed my hair with this chi iron and my hair has never been this beautiful since I was a little girl being totally honest. It feels so smooth to the touch and it looks so shiny and straight without a single wave (and my hair is the waviest of all hairs). All in all, the best of the best right now in the market! 5 stars

Best Flat Iron I Ever Used
I have tried a few flat irons in the past and the chi blows them all away. This made my very curly hair silky, shiny and straight. I have recommended the product to everyone I know!
It does require a lot of patience to straighten your hair if you have very curly hair. I ususally have to pin up different sections and straighten them one at a time. I have also found that the shampoo and conditioner you use can also make an impact. You are much better off using a straightening shampoo/conditioner. Also remember to use a product to protect your hair against heat because the iron gets really hot and you do not want it to damage your hair.
You can also use the chi to curl the ends under (like a bob) or to curl them out...but it is really for straightening so it is limited.
