I am totally impressed with the Platinum XL nose hair trimmer. I purchased one of the other trimmers advertised here on Amazon.com before buying this particular trimmer. The other model is battery operated and lasted exactly 2 uses before it just stopped working. I called the company and they told me that I would have to arrange to have it sent back to them at my expense with insurance and tracking. That would have cost me over $8.00 for a $13.00 trimmer!! Total bull...

The Groom Mate Platinum XL trimmer does a perfect job of gently trimming my nostril hairs. It cleanly and efficiently cuts my nose hairs without pain or pulling. It is extremely well made and carries a lifetime warranty. The company delivered it to me very quickly even to Montreal, Canada and the shipping was free.

All in all, a great experience and I am very happy with my new trimmer.

Sturdy construction, easy to clean, a bit of pulling
The title basically says it all. This manual nose hair trimmer is built extremely solidly (much more so than I would have expected), and trims hair quite well, if a bit slowly.

Yes, even the Groom Mate will pull hair a bit. I was hoping for some sort of miracle based off of the other reviews, but it will pull hair from time to time. Given the nature of the beast, this is probably inescapable.

Clean-up and storage is a snap. This trimmer is quite small and will fit basically anywhere.

A nose hair trimmer that doesn't suck!
Like other reviewers of this particular nose hair trimmer, I have had it with nose hair trimmers that pull hair. The 3 or 4 battery operated models that I have owned all have been guilty of the same thing which is to pull out nose hairs by the roots instead of cutting them without pain. I have found that these types of trimmers are more like torture devices and every time I use them I have to prepare myself because I know that I am about to experience lots of pain.

The Platinum XL is a simple device that is built like a tank and has actual cutting blades made of stainless steel. When you insert this trimmer into your nostrils you simply twist the bottom part and just like that, your nose hairs are gone and there is absolutely no pain at all.

I recommend this product highly as well as the company for providing great customer service and a speedy delivery.

I purchased this nose hair trimmer for my husband on a dare. He actually didn't think that I was serious when I am told him that he either had to start dealing with his out of control nostril hairs or I would take matters into my own hands.

He used it as soon as the package arrived and has thanked me a few times already for making him look more civilized. He likes the quality and the ease of use and how simple and efficient this product is.

I would highly recommend this item to any woman out there that has a man who is nose hair challenged!

Great trimmer - Tremendous customer service
First of all, I have to compliment the folks at PHR Systems for their excellent customer service. I messed up on the address that I provided to Amazon for my order and even though PHR shipped my order immediately but to the wrong address when I informed them of my mistake they quickly shipped out a replacement order to my corrected address and even used priority mail at their expense!

I have had a lot of experience with lots of different nose hair trimming devices over the years. Most of them do an ok job at first but almost all of them are poorly made and eventually break. Either they just stop working or the cutting portion gets dull and then they start pulling hairs out instead of neatly cutting them.

When I received my Platinum XL trimmer I was surprised at how compact it was compared to every other trimmer that I have owned. The quality is impressive in that it is made of pure stainless steel (no alloys or cheap metals here). So, its solid and engineered to last a lifetime as the package states. Also, it is actually manufactured in this country which is something that you can't say about many products these days.

As far as the functionality is concerned it works perfectly. It is very easy to use and cuts the hair cleanly and painlessly and does not nick the sensitive skin inside your nostrils. I have used it a few times now and I can safely say that I would recommend it highly. A quality product and a company that provides great customer service.
