Did your cover break? Read this...
I love this trash can! When I bought it about 18 mos ago I thought of it as a luxury...now I don't know how I'd live without it. It has always worked perfectly, and I'm on the same batteries I started with. Just yesterday the little plastic clip that raises the lid broke off (I see from some other reviews and a discussion thread that the same has happened to others). I came to Amazon to buy a new one. FORTUNATELY I checked out a discussion that led me to a site where I can buy just a new top for $[...]. It's here at [...]

If you just need a new lid, check it out. Oh, and despite the fact that this broke after a year and a half, I would highly recommend this product. I use it a lot and there's nothing like it. If you have kids, help them keep the germs in the trash and off your stuff. Get this trashcan! :)

Worth for the money
My wife saw the review and arranged to get this for our lovely new home. When I unpacked the trash can, i felt it was so thin and weightless, slowly I realised that we do not need really a heavy one for this. It is so far working well and feel the importance of touchless. We had house warming few days ago, and everyone who came to the house warming asked where did you buy this. We have two kids, we thought they may play with it, but not at all. The negative aspect of the touchless is to sensitive, even if you walk near by your dress make them to open many time and secondly I feel the time limit of lid opening bit shorter. But these two negative aspect are very minor problem. I would strongly reccommend this trash can to anybody.

Love it ... Long time owner
I've had the 13 gallon model for at least 3 years and I love it. I'm on the original batteries and it still looks good as new. I had to pay $100 plus for mine. Honestly, I consider the can one of the better purchases I've ever made.

I love this trash can!
I love this trashcan! It makes cooking so much easier, by just having to turn around with veggie cuttings, or packaging, I don't have to clean my hands off to clear the counter. I just turn, it opens it's mouth, and in the garbage goes.

Great modern kitchen device
This is a great product! It's especially useful when you are working in the kitchen and have your hands full. This replaced a different hands-free can that I had owned in the past. I prefer this particular model because the infrared is sensitive enough to detect when you need the lid to open, but not overly sensitive so that it is triggered simply by walking by. The price is also very reasonable compared to other models.
