Works great.
This is definately the best grooming tool we have ever used for our many animals. Two of my neighbors even decided to buy one right away after a little showing off what it could do. It was able to remove more hair in a 30 minute session than what my previous grooming tools could do in an hour. Even better was how good the animals looked afterward. They looked like they just gotten back from a groomer. And the animals love it.
But, I have to knock it down a star for the high price. Yes it works amazingly well, but even buying online was still too pricy. (The MSRP on this item in pet stores is just plain rediculous)

Good Tool
Great tool for cats, too. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star is the price & the fact that only 2 out of my 5 cats like it. The others either run (including the long hair I got it for *sigh*) or fight it. But my 2 that like it, absolutely love it! They will sit still & allow a complete brushing. After I'm done, I have enough fur to make another cat!
Be sure to do your brushing in an area without a carpet. Otherwise, you may find yourself needing to pull out the "vacuum monster".

The FURminator is awesome
Bought one of these for our two dogs and it really works well. We've got an older cat that I always made fun of because he's fat. I decided to brush him one day and it turns out he's not actually fat, he just had a TON of hair. The hair that I got off that cat more than filled a plastic grocery bag. It was nasty, but now he doesn't shed nearly as much and seems much happier. It makes the dogs' coats nice and smooth and healthy as well. A great purchase.

Furminator
We do dog rescue and I have 10 Anatolian Shepards. Other owners raved about this device. The dogs love it. I believe the design is excellent. With my dogs the hair has to be removed after a full body stroke, this to me takes extra time. I would suggest others try it before hand and if the consumer and pet agree then get one.

Furminator
This is a great product. Labs have such a slick outer coat and the Furminator gets right through it to the undercoat. I even used it on my cat!
