5 stars Great for keeping your dog's attention and slowing down their eating.
This treat ball works great. I use it for my lab's regular feedings. I simply fill the ball with her dog food and let her push it around until she's gotten out all she can. It only took her a few minutes to figure out how it worked when I first got it. Now she's a pro at pushing it around, picking it up, and dropping it to get her food.

Each feeding takes about 2 refills to go through her usual dog food amount. When she first started, it would take about 45 minutes for her meal. She's gotten a lot better at it and can finish in about 30. That's better than the roughly 2 minutes it would take to eat her dog food straight from a bowl. I'm no vet, but my understanding is it's much better for them to eat slowly rather than wolf down their food and risk getting too much air in their stomachs.

It's also nice because it gives me more time to get ready in the morning without having to worry about her getting into trouble. As long as food keeps popping out of the treat ball, it has her undivided attention.

One warning for owners with "power chewers." You should not leave the ball with the dog once they have gotten all of the food/treats from it. Mine has already chewed small pieces off, and given enough time with it, could probably chew it in half. As soon as your dog is done, take it away and give them something safer to chew on.

All in all, this is a great product that keeps my dog's attention and has completely replaced feeding her from a bowl.

5 stars Great Toy!
We bought this toy after a lot of research, and, boy, are we glad we did! Our 13 week Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy learned how to use this thing almost instantly! We feed him some of his meals out of this, but works great a treat ball too. Would highly recommend this toy.

5 stars The only toy my dog will play with!
My cocker spaniel was a puppy mill mom and she didn't understand toys. She only understands food and affection. Plus, she had this learned helplessness thing. If anything challenged her in the least she'd just give up. I thought she was maybe brain damaged. It took months just to teach "sit" because she just didn't get that she could influence what I did (she trained me to give her a treat after she sits, I think). Since giving her this toy, I've seen her learn how to solve problems in a way I never thought she could. She's figured out how to get it out of corners, and how to go under the bed or other furniture to get to it, and she's using her paws to move it around. She also comes to me when it truly is stuck. She can keep busy for an hour without any let-up, which is amazing for a dog that doesn't play. I recommend this to anyone whose dog is a little "special." It might open up new possibilities for them. The treats I use with this are Charlee Bear, which are the perfect size and don't make a mess.

5 stars Best Dog Purchase EVER!
My Goldendoodle puppy will roll this ball around for hours!!! If I really need some time to get something done I put her meal inside of it and it keeps her occupied for 30+ minutes sometimes longer. She loves this treat ball. I highly recommend this item as it keeps my dog mentally stimulated and moving around for long periods of time!

5 stars Exceptional toy for exceptional dog
My herding dog (Corgi-Heeler mix) noses, spins, pushes, carries, paws, this toy all over the house. A 1/2 cup of kibble in it, and he's happily engaged for about an hour. If it's empty, he'll roll it over to me and repeatedly push it into my feet - or closer and closer to my vicinity until I finally realize what he wants. Once I refill it, he jumps excitedly until I place it on the floor for him again. Then once more he's off, rolling it all over - room to room, pursuing until it's largely empty again. He'll later check it to see if anything is left, and engage it relentlessly if there are remnants remaining inside. What an amazing toy for an intelligent dog! Thanks so much.
