fire pit
seems to be made of quality materials. it is winter now so i have not actually used it yet. looking forward to the spring to try it out.

I love this little fire pit!
I deliberated a few different fire pits and watched prices before ordering this one and I'm very happy with my decision! If you belong to Amazon Prime then it's a no-brainer, great price and 2-day shipping included. I hear they offer this fire pit in some Targets but I've not been able to find it locally. If you're thinking of getting one,just do it - you won't be disappointed! We use this much more than I thought we would - almost anytime the temp drops down at night here in FL. Because it's circular, you really get that campfire feeling with the chairs all spread around campfire-style. Even my 12 year old turns off his computer and Wii to come chill outside by the fire, drink hot cocoa and cook s'mores. It's a great way to hang out with family and friends without the TV on! And so far, I don't see any signs of rust on this pit, even left outside in the Florida humidity. If you live in FL you know what a big deal that is. I do think I'll pack it away when we hit spring though to protect it, especially since we won't be needing it with 80 degree nights :)

Smoking
I debated between getting an open pit or a chimenea. I thought the open pit would give off more heat since the chiminea only has a small opening in the front. I think this model does a good job of giving off heat because of the cutouts on the side. But it does smoke a lot. I'm looking for a different type of wood to help offset this. We also added a grate for the bottom of the pit so the logs don't just lay on the bottom. We thought this also might help it last longer by not having the bottom burn out. I only wish this was made in the USA instead of China.

As promised
The fire pit arrived as promised. Assembly was straight forward and the quality of the workmanship was very good. The planet and star cut outs give a really nice effect and the spark screen does a good job of preventing most sparks from flying off. Our family enjoys using the fire pit more often than I thought and since it's relatively light, we are able to store it out of the weather. It's a good value for the money.

More than pleased!
Exactly what we were looking for at a price we could afford. Well-made and easy to assemble.
The delivery was quick, too, which aced out other contenders. Easily accomodates eight people
(or more) sitting around in bistro-style chairs. The star and moon cutouts cast a wonderful
glow on the ground, allowing just enough visibility to find the poker stick when needed!
It has a wonderful rustic quality and has become a landscape feature in our yard--we use it
on a pea-gravel patio and we couldn't be happier. The grill, the poker stick and the
spark-arrester lid is included in the price. A wonderful value!
