A nice clock to wake up to, but...
Bought this primarily because I was looking for something with no other buttons around the snooze bar. Nothing sucks more than blindly swinging at the snooze bar to silence that dreaded buzzer found in cheap "off the shelf" alarm clocks that make you almost soil yourself every morning, only to find that you've inadvertently set the time an hour later, thus making yourself late for work. My room has angled ceilings which seems to have little effect on the projection. Also, the display is not permanently back lit when plugged into a wall so luckily it does at least project the time. On the plus side, the alarm tone is a gentle, yet effective progressive beep instead of your usual "wake the dead" buzzer found in most alarm clocks. Just one other note, people who are near sighted my find the projection hard to see at a distance, but I could make out the time aiming at the wall 8 feet across the room with my contacts in.

Far better than expected
Had this for a little over a week and very happy with it. Outside air temp monitor was a breeze to set up and works great. Clock periodically checks itself against the time standard in Colorado and corrects as necessary. It even automatically changes with daylight saving time. Very convenient.

Best feature is the projected time and outside temp. The display toggles between the two every 2 seconds or so. The room has to be darkened to read it which is fine with me. Easy to read even with my glasses off but not bright enough to distract you from sleep. Easy to position the projection no matter what the physical orientation of the projector is.

Reading the fixed clock display in the dark is different. You must press any button to get it to light up as it is normally off. I worry that I might hit the wrong button and turn off the alarm, so I don't touch it without the room lights on. Not a huge deal since the projector works great. Speaking of the alarm, it is beeping sound and plenty loud to wake up both of us.

I recommend this unit if you want the projected display. Otherwise, you might be disappointed.

Projection clock
This clock is ok. I bought it to replace another one which broke. I do not like it as much but it will do.

Okay - but....
this is our 3rd LaCrosse clock. One of the other ones stopped giving the outside temp. This one has only 1 alarm setting, the old ones had two alarm settings. The old one had a setting that once you tapped the snooze bar, the alarm would not sound again. This newer one doesn't allow that, unless I have missed a setup option. You have to actually touch the device, any key onthe front - not the snooze bar - to get it to shut up until the next morning. It does show indoor humidity, but I just want it to shut up after the first tap. LOL

Loved it when it Worked!
I absolutely relied on this gizmo to chose my outfits for work as there was no question when I needed to add a sweater before leaving. However, the outside temperature reading no longer works. I went to their online site and followed all the instructions, but alas, could not get it to work again!
