A valuable documentary for Bee Gees fans
Produced in Britain in 1997, this documentary seems to give the viewer a very deep, personal look into Barry, Robin and Maurice's lives. We see the place in Manchester where they grew up, the theatre where they first sang, even their school. We are also invited into the studio to witness how the guys craft a typical song. Numerous celebrities offer comments about their talents such as Sir George Martin. Some of their songs (interspersed throughout) have also been made into low-budget video clips (obviously just for the benefit of this production), some of them live, some lip-synced.
I'll admit it does feel like the production team were trying to create something worthwhile but delivered a bundle of segments thrown together without much forethought. At least, that's how it looks to me, but that certainly doesn't mean I don't like this presentation. I just don't think it is in the same class as the "This Is Where I Came In" documentary from 2001 which is of impeccable quality. To be fair, "Keppel Road" contains some history in greater detail.
A Bee Gees fan would certainly do well to add this documentary to their collection.

Outstanding Piece as told by the brothers Gibb themselves!
This is a must have in your video library. It's their life story as can only be honestly told by Barry, Robin, and the late Maurice Gibb. It's astonishing, chilling, extraordinary, real. If a Gibb lover, this cannot be overlooked. The footage takes you back in time, and brings you into their current lives. Jam-packed with interviews of Barry, Maurice and Robin, and it's complimented with the most amazing music ever written! I have the video and also the DVD! Get it if you appreciate their contribution to the music industry. You will not be sorry you did. A truly exceptional piece.

Wonderful!
As a long time fan of the Bee Gees, it was impossible for me to pass this video. Watching Barry, Robin and Maurice go back to their childhood home and watching their career up and downs was really enjoyable. Listening to them talk about their lives, the highs and the heartaches, one realizes that these three guys are just "Ordinary People" doing something extraordinary. I especially enjoyed watching them work in the studio and explain how they write a song. And, of course, the performances are great. They are all very talented songwriters and performers, and is is so sad to know that there will never be any new songs written by or with the assistance of Maurice Gibb. He is greatly missed by this fan.

Great Video........
This is a very informative Video. I enjoyed it very much. Especially seeing how they write a song in the studio. They also sing two songs from there "Still Waters" album. Upbeat "I Surrender" and "I Could Not Love You More". Also, some of their other popular songs. If you like great music and want to see where they grew up. Then get this Video. You won't be dissappointed. Happy listening.
