Product Description: Made from strong but lightweight synthetic fabric, it's designed to be worn over clothing, to dramatically increase visibility during the day, and especially at night. The fluorescent orange color can be seen for long distances, in any background. Most other vests have one or two reflective stripes, but this one has eight! The front features two horizontal and two vertical stripes made from 2" wide 3M Scotchlite* the brightest and most reflective material. The back has two horizontal stripes, and two diagonal stripes of that same reflective material, which can be seen from hundreds of yards away, when illuminated by headlights. Full sides, and Velcro* closure in front. Good for Dog Walkers, Too
I bought this vest as a gift for my mom. She walks her dogs in the evenings on a rural road, and she needs to be visible to drivers who might not be expecting a person to be walking in the area. While many vests go on over your head, this vest opens in the front. If you plan on wearing the vest over a parka or other heavy winter coat, it's easy to get on and off. Plus, she is DEFINITELY visible in it--day, dusk, and night.
