Awaiting the dvd release of this treasure. WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY! I bought 1 and 2 videos from cdnow after years of looking. The concert was for a great need in russia. Skid row Cinderella The scorpions Ozzy Gordy park motley crue. Each band does about 4-5 songs and so much more. WHY isn't this released on dvd with US festival 1983.

Nostalgic Feelings Are Back!
Watching Sebastian Bach jumping and running on stage and his 'sexy' tee may give you goose pimples...but... if you belong to the baby boomer era like me, for sure it will bring back the memories! They were the big names for hair metal bands during that time: Skid Row, Cinderella, Bon Jovi and so on. And Vince Neil appeared much slimmer than he did when Motley Crue appeared for Live 8....

Top Stuff...
Watching this set is like sitting in front of MTV for a few hours. The footage is great and the bands all sound OK, although there is some dodgy mixing and time-keeping going on, especially during Skid Row's set... Poor lads!

The funniest thing about the films is how, since the event was supposed to promote a drink and drug free life, a lot of the bands seems a little, well... pissed, for want of a better word. Bless them, Poor old Ozzy looks as though he's about to throw up from too much vodka whilst being interviewed on a platform above the stadium! Then he went home (with a case of vodka, given to him by the Russian organisers) and tried to kill his wife whilst in an alcohol-fuelled oblivion. I know that in itself isn't funny, but you've got to smile at the irony...

Buy this if you have any interest in 80s rock to see where the genre got to before entering the wilderness years of the 90s. If you want to see how self-righteous and over-the-top the Jovi got in the 80s, this is the pinacle of their career and of a few of the other acts on the bill.

Oh, and Gorky Park sung 'BANG!' and a funny cover of 'My Generation' and became the first famous Russian rockers for 10 minutes.

This Rock Musical Event will make you wish you were there to witness personally live performances from Skid Row, Cinderella, & Bon Jovi because they really ROCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! I truly wish someday they would combine Vol.1 & Vol.2 on DVD and that would further give meaning on the clarity of picture quality and sound. A deserving 5 stars on Vhs and A deserving 10 stars on the DVD release. "Rock On".
