4 stars Very Good Live Collection of Versatile Artists
For the most of non-music fans, The Righteous Brothers sang only two songs: "Unchained Melody" and "You've Lost That Loving Feelin." This is understandable, considering the fact those songs were both used in hugely popular hit movies: the former in "Ghost" and the latter in "Top Gun" (Tom Cruise sings it at a bar, you remember?). But the fact is, The Righteous Brothers are much more versatile artists than you think, whose songs cover from ballads to blues and exciting 100 % ultra-pure rock'n'roll. Watch this video, and you will know.

The show begins with the sizzling "Justine," an Isley Brothers style number that rocks the studio. After that, the brothers' stream of songs never stops, including rock number "Ko Ko Joe" and of course "You've Lost That Feelin." During the course
they even share a microphone with The Blossoms. Interesting thing is the scene in which "Unchained Melody" is sung -- I rather naively thought the number was sung by Bill Medley, but you see only Bobby Hatfield on TV.

Anyway, this volume is a good collection of songs, and as they sing the songs LIVE, the exciting feeling goes up double!! And if you're fond of the group, check out "Frat Party" of the same "Shindig" series. In that one, they sing one song "Let That Good Time Roll." Grooooovy, yeah!!
