Many bad disks
I've had to throw away many of these disks because they failed halfway through the burning process. I previously used 2.4x disks without a problem. It might be that my burner is not capable of handling these higher speed disks, or I may have received a bad batch of disks. I will be going back to the 2.4x disks after this.

Great price, I've had no burning issues
I was a little worried before I bought this product, but the price was hard to pass up (I can't find these cheaper anywhere--especially with Amazon's free shipping), so I decided to take the risk and buy them. Based on some reviews I was worried that some of the disks would fail to burn. I have burned 10 disks so far with absolutely no issues. I have a new Dell computer (as of 05-07-08), and I use Roxio for burning software. As long as you have a reliable burner with dual-layer DVD burning capabilities, you shouldn't have a problem.

They work Great! Just limit your burning speed to 8x
These discs work great! Just limit your burning speed to 8x.
The first disc I tried to write to failed. I thought I was going to have the same problem as so many others. I had my software's burn speed set at default, which I assume was more than 8x...
...because, when I specifically set the speed to 8x, I have not had a single problem since (I've burned about two dozen discs). I know others reviewing this product have mentioned this as an issue and have gave the same answer - well they are correct! Just limit the write speed and you'll probably be fine.

Not impressed
Although I've owned a DL internal burner for years these were my first DL DVDs really due to the high cost. I finally broke down and gave these a try. All of the first four videos I burned were more burnt. I tried two different movies using different software at less than half the rated speed.
I got them to work on another machine but all the disks have either pixilation or lock up or both somewhere on the disk. I have better results using DVD Shrink an fitting them on a DVD5.
The internal drive that 100% failed is an ioMagic the other with 90% success is in my HP laptop. 6 coasters out of 25 isn't very good.

Not compatible with all dvd drives
This dvd dl disc are great and most of the people if not all that give it a bad review don't know what their talking about...Depending on what dvd drive you use with these cds will likely seek drastic results.I used a lg external dvd drive that wouldnt even read the discs..So I used the built in dvd drive I have which im not sure what brand it is but im sure it isnt lg since I've read issues with lg drives and memorex discs. So if you wanna review this dvd disc maybe you should research what youre reviewing before giving it a 1 or 2 star...verbatim is overated..also i use these with my 360 games and have no problems at all fyi hope this helps someone out
