Customer Reviews

5 stars this is collection 5, which is great too
The only thing unhelpful about the review posted by Linda Farwell is that it's posted in the wrong place -- those are the episodes in set 4, not 5.

5 stars Can't Get Enough of Morse!
Excellent set of Inspector Morse tapes. Couldn't stop watching all of them once I started! "Dead On Time" is a heart-wrenching episode in which Morse reconnects with the love of his life through what appears to be the suicide of her husband. Few actors can match the sadness and hurt of John Thaw's beautiful blue eyes. It's a wonderful combination of intriguing plot and romance. "Death of Self", set in Italy, is fascinating with plot twists and terrific supporting actors, all to the background of Morse's beloved opera. It's fun to see Morse kissed by surprise and to watch Sgt. Lewis literally kick up his heels while dancing! "Greeks Bearing Gifts" keeps us guessing at every turn and reveals some of Morse's prejudices. He is, after all, very human and far from perfect. One of the reasons why we love him so?
