Logitech Cordless Presenter
The Logitech 2.4 GHz Cordless Presenter is an excellent help for those who want mobility as they make public presentations. All I did was insert the batteries that came with the unit into the unit, plugged the Universal device into the universal port on my laptop, turned on the switch and turned on Power point and I was ready to go. Everything was explained clearly in the manual. A great product at a good price.

Perfect for my needs
This device is exactly what I need. As a consultant and instructor, I'm presenting quite a bit. It's great for speaking when you don't want to be tethered to your laptop. Works beautifully is a larger room. The timer is handy when I'm doing exercises in my class and I can otherwise lose track of time.

Functionally Awesome but visually... eh...
The Logitech 2.4 GHz is truly an awesome piece of equipment... since I got mine I have been to 3 other presentations where the presenter was using it. Functionally, it's worth it's weight in gold but - be thankful that your hand covers most of it. It is not a particularly sleek or cool looking device... the picture truly is what you get so if ya like the picture, you are in business! Though it's not as bad or distracting as giving a presentation holding a dead fish, it's not an aesthetically pleasing space-age look... in my humble but accurate opinion.

Very Handy
I've only used a few other models for short periods of time so it is difficult to make this a comparative review. Having said that, this unit does exactly what it says it does. I like that the USB dongle fits inside the unit keeping you from losing it. Nice that it does not require any software though I suspect this is true for most of these.

There is an LCD window with a timer (which is nice for some things) but you can't turn it into a clock. At times I wish I had a regular clock and I end up setting the count down timer to keep track of some interval to some particular wall clock time. I suppose the good thing about a simple function for the timer is you don't ever sit there playing with buttons trying to get it into the 'mode' that you want.

In any case, I'd buy this again. Good features for the price and I have never had any range issues with it even in large conference rooms where I am walking around a lot which in the final analysis is what matters most (to me).
