Cheap piece of plastic
Good reviews must be from Belking people. Absolutely, the single worst object that I'd ever bought. Poor desing. I hurt my fingers with the blades trying to open the plastic legs. You can't use it on your lap. ----- Las críticas positivas deben ser de gente de Belkin. El peor objeto que jamás haya comprado. Diseño marginal. Tratando de abrir la base de plástico, terminé metiendo el dedo en el aspa. No puedes utilizarlo para las piernas o en la cama, porque la base se cierra. Sólo de un lado tiene base de goma, la tapita de plástico no tiene, así que puede rayar la mesa, la piel o lo que sea.

Very efficient and ergonomic laptop cooler.
I bought this product a few weeks ago after noticing how hot the bottom of my MacBook became if I used it while it was charging. So far, I am very happy with its performance. The bottom of my laptop is still warm if I'm running a lot of programs and using it while its plugged in, but it's nowhere near as hot as it used to get. Supposedly, keeping a cool flow helps maximize the laptop's performance, and it does seem to be working a little better. It's also very comfortable to use, and fits well in my lap. It has a very slight incline in the back that makes the computer much more ergonomic.

My only complaint- and this isn't even really a complaint- is that is drains the battery more quickly than if I didn't use it. It is worth the sacrifice, though, because I feel like my computer runs better and is so much more comfortable in my lap. Plus, now that I have the cooler, if I am near an outlet, I just plug it in. The performance on the battery is negligible, though. The sound is fairly quiet, too. I hardly notice it.

I have recommended this laptop cooler to my friends with MacBooks because that is what I use, but I'm sure it will function more than adequately on any other type of laptop, as well.

Not wide enough
This product has a pretty good quality. The fan noise is acceptable compare to the competitors.
The only problem is that this cooler is just not wide enough. As a result, The laptop cannot stand on its rubber which usually made to keep the distance between laptop and surface so the ventilation will not get clog.
The hottest part of my laptop (Lenovo Ideapad Y510 15.4 inch) is on the left side of the touch pad; there's an ventilation on the bottom of the hottest part. Anyhow, because the cooler is not wide enough, It cause the ventilation blocked by the cooler rubber pad.
Advertisement says that It's designed for 15.4 inch laptop, but it is not. It is for the smaller laptop.

Just ok.
I thought this for sure was going to be the cooling fan for me, after trying several no-name, in-store brands and not having much luck. I read the reviews for the Belkin F5L001 Laptop Cooling Stand and thought it would be the best option. The first few days of usage were fine and I was really happy that my laptop wasn't overheating and the only thing that I was less than happy with, was the foldout stand that kept closing. Its a little hard to pry open and my fingers have slipped and got cut in the open fan blade more than once. I was willing to work around the sticky stand but then things took a turn for the worst.

My fan seems to only want to work when it feels like it. The jack in the back of the fan, doesn't like to stay plugged in, though the jack itself seems to look fine with no damage. More often than not, I have to spend a few minutes fiddling with the cord to get the fan to stay on, and when I pick my laptop up, or move it slightly, it usually shuts off again and I have to repeat the process.

It's lasted longer than my past cooling fans but I still don't think it's the best. I wish now I'd invested a little more money for one that perhaps, would work better.

Noisy and poorly designed
I bought this to replace an Antec cooler I've had for a couple of years. I quickly discovered that this single fan cooler is actually much noisier than my older 2-fan Antec.

It also has an odd concave shape that makes your laptop wiggle if it is not sized just right. Or you'll have to push your laptop up to center it and have the cooler base stick out of the bottom. Which makes it uncomfortable if you're used to placing your hands on the palmrest.
