it works
compared this unit to the doctor's in his office and was pretty close. probably more accurate to take blood pressure at home since every time i go to the doctors office my blood pressure is taken as soon as i walk in without proper rest period and it always reads high. also, probably a little of the "white coat syndrome" where the stress of a doctors office comes into play.
recommended.

Omron HEM-711AC Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor with IntelliSense
We like the operation of this device but, it seems to give inconsistent readings. The doctor's office will show a significant difference when compared to this instrument. We came home immediately and checked the readings after leaving the doctor's office. The readings at the doctor's office were substantially lower (better) than on the Omni.

Exactly accurate BP measurements.
Rather than repeat the correctly glowing recommendations others have posted, I will say just one thing.
On a recent rare visit to my doctor I called ahead and asked if I could bring my Omron HEM 711 to compare with the hospital's blood pressure equipment. They said "sure".
And, yep - my Omron gave the very same reading as the professionals' carefully calibrated and maintained hospital BP equipment!
Buy this thing. Seriously. It is completely accurate and will give you some potentially life-saving numbers about what is going on inside your body... and all in the 24/7 convenience of your home.
