Did not work for me
Well if I allow my small dogs to smell this, they run away from it, BUT when sprinkled around (half the bottle) around the areas where there are rat dropping and the top of the wall (in the attic) where the rats climb up, it does not appear to stop them at all......

I bought the 20 oz Shake Away Small Critter Repellent directly from the manufacturer. It came quickly and to my pleasant surprise, worked as advertised.
I have a small front yard that was alive with moles. The entire area was full of tunnels and each morning there were more.I tried the electronic things with no effect.

I was very skeptical about Shake Away but had no other viable alternative. I followed directions and sprinkled lightly around the perimeter. Since I was going away in 10 days and would not be home for a week, I applied it three times the first week.
When I returned from my trip, there were no moles. I just applied it again, as part of the twice a month maintenance.
I don't understand why it works for some and not for others, but it did work for me.

shake Away works for me. I bought it because cats had become a problem in the garden but the added bonus is the squirrels stay off the roof.

Looks like it works for mice, but not rats.
From my own use and from the reviews it looks like it works well for mice, but not for rats.

We were having a big problem w/ field mice about 4 yrs ago. We bought traps, poisons, steel wool, etc over and over again. Finally I decided to see what info I could find on-line. I ran accross this product and thought what the hey! I ordered it and it came in a very timely manner. I spread it around the house and under the family room crawspace. Within about a week we didn't see any signs of the mice. Well, that was 4 yrs ago and the mice are still gone! I sprinkle the Shake-Away around about every 6-8 weeks. I have spoken to my neighbor and he has been fighting the mice - I told him to buy this product!!!
