Best Driving Game
This game is the ultimate in car racing and driving. Get this if you want to be wowed.

Ehh, could be better.
I played the original Test Drive many year ago. This newest addition doesn't really inspire you to finish the game. I much prefer the Need for Speed series over this game. If you want fun and excitement with a lot of harsh police chases, then get a Need for Speed game. If you are looking for more of a Microsoft Simulator game that has nice cars, then you may like this one. It's not full of excitement, but the scenery is nice...

Fantastic driving!
I typically cannot play games where driving is involved. Either the wheel won't work correctly or trying to use a keyboard takes away.
I have a Momo with Forced Feedback wheel and it works fantastic!!!
In addition, you can go 'offroad' to escape from police pursuits (they can be determined) without running into problems with the game prohibiting it due to the scenery not being available.
I have driven under overpasses into areas where the road was above (to escape police pursuit) and it works great!
If you have a computer that supports the graphics, it is even better.
However, having lived on Oahu for three plus years, the roads are not accurately depicted (probably to prevent terrorists from using it as a planning tool to cause harm). In stating this, I mean that following Kamehameha Highway will not take you past sights you would see driving the real thing. You can go to actual areas of Oahu but the sights have been altered from actual.
All in all, a fantastic play. My computer is dual processor XPS system with 4 gig of ram. Ensure your computer exceeds minimum requirements in order to make the game play enjoyable.

buggy - great when it works - miserable when it doesn't
My son loved this game - when it worked, which was only for one week after many many hours of messing around with it, troubleshooting, etc. then it started locking up and now it won't run at all, even after hours and hours of uninstall/reinstall etc. And my son's computer is no slouch - Dual core Athlon 64 with 2gb memory and an ati HD 3200 video card. According to the internet, many people experience lock-ups, freezes, etc with this game. It's just too buggy to pay real money for. Like I said, my son loved it when it worked but that only made it more disappointing when it started crashing. This game is so buggy, Atari has even released a seperate program meant to fix the issues every time they come up - unfortunately it was the use of that software that pushed it over the edge and now it won't start up at all. It seems to suffer badly from corrupted game files and Atari doesn't seem to have a real fix for that. Don't waste your money on this one - or at least wait until Atari releases a stable version of it. I wish I could get Atari to refund my money for non-functioning software, but I somehow doubt they would.

do not buy
We purchased this game and loaded it on the computer. Despite having plenty of memory and all the other requirements it never worked and then we discovered that it was infected with viruses and malware. Do not buy!
