5 stars Fabulous winter boot!
Pajar has always made an excellent product and these boots are no exception. They are warm, easy to get in and out of (due to the full length inside zipper), and very comfortable. Just remember to get the correct size for your foot. I am a true size 7 and always wear a size 38 in a winter boot. This does not mean a thick sock. The Euro sizes in all winter boots run about the same, and use the Continental sizing charts. If you wear a half size, I recommend sizing up. A winter boot should always have a little pocket of air to trap warmth. You can't go wrong with any Pajar product, and they look great too! I use mine for apres ski in mountain communities, but they look fashionable for urban or campus use as well. I received them very quickly.

5 stars Great boots!
These boots are wonderful. Very stylish and very warm. They are quite light and I don't feel like I'm going to slip on ice.

5 stars Lightweight, Warm, and you definitely will never ever slip.
These are the best boots I have ever owned. I cannot rate them highly enough. Living in Massachusetts, it gets very cold and slippy here in the winter. I was in a pretty serious road traffic accident some years back, got seven inches of titanium and six screws in my leg. I also broke my pelvis in four places. So I have to be very careful not to slip on ice because I could really open a can of worms. I've tried out several types of boots with safety soles, and used to wear "yak traks" all the time. The "yak traks" were great outdoors but if you ever made the mistake of stepping on a tiled surface you would immediately slip. So whenever you were entering a building, you had to balance on one leg (not so easy for me) trying to take off the yak traks before you went in. When I saw these boots I liked the look of them, especially the sole. The attractive part of the special "grip" sole is the absolutely superior traction that it offered. Half of the grips point south, and half point north, so it grips in both directions - which means that you have grip both ways. The other thing about the grips is that they really protrude, almost like spikes. All the other boots that I own pale in comparison, no matter how intricate the pattern on the soles, they all have a flat surface, so unless you're standing on a damp muddy ground that the boots sink into, you don't have traction; -so once you hit the frozen hard surface, you slide. Whereas with the grip sole that these boots offer, you have a 100% safer stance on icy surfaces. The first time I wore them out, I was with my husband. It was minus 15 degrees when we were walking down a hill on our property. He warned me to hold onto him as it was very very slippy. No sooner than I had linked arms with him, he started to slip. He's a very athletic guy, 6 foot four inches tall. He was wearing strong boots but he was about to go down, scrambling with all his might to stay upright. I couldn't believe it when I was able to grab him by both his arms and straighten him up. I was so secure that I felt like I was standing in sand on a beach. I had to guide him onto a grassy area before he could hold himself upright. That was when it dawned on me exactly how good these boots were. Over the next few freezing weeks, I wore them every day and my respect for them grew daily. They are incredibly warm, yet breathable. I wear them into an office every day, and they keep me warm on my journey, and while I sit in the centrally heated office all day, they are so breathable that I forget that I'm wearing them. My feet have never felt too warm or too cold even though I'm wearing them in both extremes of temperature. The next advantage of them is how lightweight they are. I was trying to explain exactly how light they were to a co-worker, and I took one off and handed it to her. She said it was as if I had handed her a glove. She couldn't have said it better. They fit like a glove and weigh about the same. I've walked through snow over a foot deep without a drop of moisture penetrating them. The material fans behind the zip so that water can't seep through the zip, even if you were standing in the snow for a long time. The quality is superb through out. Every stitch is perfect, every shred of material is top quality. The zips are very good and strong. I expect these boots to see me safely and comfortably through many dangerous winters. I thought they were a lot of money when I bought them, but they are soo soo worth it. No Regrets. I have the black ones and I think I might even get a brown pair as well next year. I think that they look nice too.
