Protocol
Goldie Hawn portrays the delightful Sunny Davis in this quirky movie. Sunny is a cocktail waitress that always seems to be on intimate terms with Murphy. Anything that can usually does go wrong for her. When she sees a man with a gun, and thwarts his plans, it is revealed later that an assassination was going to take place. Sunny has saved the Emir, and in the process takes a bullet in the tush. She is turned into a media darling overnight. A grateful government gives her a job in the protocol office, but that is only what appears to be on the surface. The Emir has decided that he wants Sunny for his next wife, and thus a deal is struck. When Sunny discovers what her government has done on her behalf, Washington will never be the same. I enjoyed Goldie and Chris Sarandon. They have chemistry, and great comedic timing.

Needs a widescrren release
WB needs to rerelease this in widescreen. It ain't right to release widescreen filmed movies on dvd in Full screen only

one of those decent 80's comedies
Protocol is one of those movies that you can watch one day and find humoress but then not remember much about it for a long time this is like most 80's comedies. Goldie Hawn puts up a great preformance and you got to love Goldie Hawn after all she is kate hudson's mom and man is Kate Hudson hot

Protocol
A great feel good movie. Except that the quality of the DVD. It flickers threw the first hour. I think they could have put more effort in the manufacturing.

Novacaine for the Brain
Protocol, Goldie Hawn's attempt at Ms. Smith Goes to Washington is a light and fluffy comedy requires little thought during this little comedy. There is a good girl (Hawn) and a bad woman (played by the under rated Gail Strickland) who decides to sacrifice Hawn for the sake of international affairs. The only "odd" bit of casting is that of Chris Sarandon who aside from looking (and acting) like a department store mannequin offers little to the story. This may not be the best film that you will ever see, but on a rainy day, it beats watching golf or bass masters.
