Product Description: "The Premiere": When his experimental spacecraft is thrust through a wormhole, astronaut John Crichton finds himself transported to a strange, alien galaxy light years from Earth, and directly into an interstellar battle! "I, E.T.": After detecting a homing beacon, the crew is forced to crash Moya onto an Earth-like planet where extraterrestrial life is virtually unknown! While Zhaan and Rygel try to free Moya from the painful device, Crichton, Aeryn and D'Argo must brave a hostile, frightened society to save their dying ship--and Crichton discovers just how alien he is in this new universe. "Exodus from Genesis": Fortunately, a strange interstellar phenomenon conceals Moya's location from a Peacekeeper marauder. Unfortunately, the phenomenon is a swarm of Drak, insect-like creatures that mysteriously infest Moya. Soon, the space insects begin using the ship as a breeding "host", sending the temperature within Moya skyrocketing - perilously high for Aeryn's heat-sensitive Sebacean system. But the infestation within is nothing compared to danger lurking outside! "Throne for a Loss": When a cargo negotiation with the bloodthirsty, money-hungry Tavleks turns into a kidnapping, Moya's crew must race against time and tempers to save the abducted Rygel. But a captured Tavlek is no even trade for a wealthy dominar. Crichton, Aeryn and D'Argo have no choice but to use a dangerously addictive, adrenalin-pumping gauntlet stolen from the Tavleks to save their pompous companion and retrieve the crystal Rygel has stolen that is causing Moya's orbit to decay. "Back and Back and Back to the Future": After rescuing two aliens from their disintegrating ship, Crichton and D'Argo fall victim to effects brought on by the presence of the alien female. Soon, Crichton experiences "future flashes" where she attacks him, both sexually and fatally. Is Crichton losing his mind? Or does he now, mysteriously, have the gift of prophecy? "Thank God It's Friday... Again": When Moya's crew follows D'Argo to the planet Sykar, they find a strange, almost Utopian society centered around a certain plant. But the world's happy veneer is ripped away when Crichton is assaulted, Rygel's body becomes explosive and D'Argo and Zhaan become pleasure-seeking cult members. As the true purpose of the plant and the planet are revealed, Crichton finds the Uncharted Territories to which they've escaped are not as uncharted as they seemed.

The Best Sci Fi EVER on TV
With its unexpected plot twists, fresh and witty scripts, and some of the best special effects you can find, Farscape is easily the best SF to ever be aired on television. It constanly throws everything traditional about SF out the window and gets away with it because its so damn weird. Great stuff!

The Definative Farscape
Whether you're a Farscape-virgin or a long-time-fan, you've got to get this set. It has the very first episode, which sets everything up, and the next five episodes after that, which flesh out the people and their world. Trust me: If you aren't hooked after watching this show, you aren't paying enough attention!

Stunningly original SF series
I'm real picky about my SF. Most TV SF is poor to horrible, with little character development and derivative plotting.Farscape is that rare exception, like Babylon 5 or the better moments of ST:TNG. The characters we meet in these first episodes continue to grow and change as the series progresses, often in surprising ways. The stories themselves are wonderfully different -- you never quite know what to expect, and from whom. My only complaint: The publisher needs to put these out much faster. A Season 1 & Season 2 DVD set would be greatly appreciated under the tree this Xmas.

Terrific sci-fi show
What can I say about "Farscape"? In my opinion, one of the BEST sci-fi shows of the year. Farscape breaks the ordinary mold, but with an ordinary beginning: A U. S. astronaut (Ben Browder) gets sucked through an wormhole and is "spit" out into another realm, whereupon discovered by an sentient ship: "Moya." He goes into the ship and meets five aliens, and a sixth, but is only a elite, shapely Australian (Claudia Black). They go on many adventures. "Farscape" is lavishly built and filmed, excellently portrayed by all the cast, and the script is filled with wit and style. The two leading roles, Claudia Black and Ben Browder, are the most engaging and eccentric characters in the series. Frankly, I'm surprised that this show was nominated for many Saturn awards and Australian awards, but NEVER an Emmy nomination for the actors, set design or even the creator. As far as I know, "Farscape" is highly appraised by the sci-fi and the Australian film academies, but not appraised by the U.S. Film and Art Academy. To me, it seems just plain stupid that a superb cable/satellite show like this is overlooked by the Emmy Awards, when they put up "Sex and the City," "The Sopranos," and "Resurrection Blvd." for many Emmy nominations, but never for the sci-fi circuits. This show is for all ages, but little ones should stay away, due to profanity, sexual content, and some violence. Otherwise, it's fine for all ages to watch and enjoy.

Go Ahead and Take the Risk
As I write this, Farscape is well into its 3rd season. I have known about the existance of Farscape from its beginnings. However I never bothered to watch the show because it looked so weird. Knowing that "muppets" (I tease as the show is produced by Jim Henson Entertainment) played two of the characters didn't help. But with everything else in reruns and SciFi showing new episodes, I thought, "What the heck." So I watched an episode and was surprised at how quickly I was absorbed into the show despite knowing almost nothing about it. Five episodes later I can say I am hooked and have purchased "Farscape - Collection 1".Three tapes come in this box-set and each tape contains 2 epidsodes. These are shown in order. Tape 1: "Premiere" & "I, E.T." Tape 2: "Exodus From Genesis" & "Throne For A Loss" Tape 3: "Back and Back and Back to the Future" & "Thank God It's Friday, Again" Overall, not to shabby for the first-six episodes!
