Customer Reviews
Nice while it lasted.
Had one installed for a year before it started making little chirpy noises. Replaced battery, cleaned sensor, nothing helped. Before it died it did work though.
Remote sensor is very handy: mount the alarm up where you can see and easily test it, while the sensor lives under the sink, behind the washer, etcetera.
Did like the battery test button. Some detectors don't have any way to test or tell you the battery is dead. It's like the smoke detector problem, where you mount them in out of the way places then tend to forget about them and the batteries die, leaving you unprotected.
There are plenty of other devices like this on the market, so no reason to put up with this one.
This very same device is also sold under the Little Giant brand.

Product as Advertised
This product works great and is priced right. I only rated 4 stars because the product has not been time tested. These babies should be in everyones home.

Works great!
I wanted to buy a couple more of these after putting in hardwood floors, and I got a little worried reading the reviews. I pulled the two I put in 7 years ago and ran a little water in the sink and they go off fine. The batteries in them are 2 years old. I'm buying a few more to put behind the fridge and under the sink and dishwasher.

Lame
Using as a sump alarm for high water, i.e. failed pump. #1 pressing the button does not stop the beeping as it's supposed to. #2 the black sensor holds water. So when it does go off, it will continue to sound the alarm even when it appears the exterior contacts are bone dry because the INSIDE is still soaking wet!!! Bad design all around. I'm replacing this unit 2nite.

Works, but finicky
I soldered in a longer wire on the detector so that the alarm can be upstairs and the detector in the basement.
It became very likely to go off on its own with one polarity and okay on the other. I can't think of a reason for this, except that it doesn't care for my modification.
Nevertheless it's worked correctly a couple of times over a few years.
Now it's started sounding continuously regardless of water conditions. I'll look for a better one first before replacing it, I think; but this one did work for quite a while, albeit always on the edge of not working right.
The alarm is loud but not loud enough to hear on the second floor if it's in the basement, even if all doors are open.
