This was actually a gift for our grandson whom I mailed it to for part of his xmas gift. I assume he enjoys it as I have not heard otherwise.

My best PSP game
this game has nice graphics, and good gameplay. The only problem is the lack of game modes. NBA Live 06 has Superstar challenge, where you complete goals in certain situations with different superstar players, a single season (but not a franchise), ALL star weekend, which is brilliant and just as good as on the home consoles, online play (free if you choose to be sponsored by espn), and finally, of course, quick play. ((ALso you can manage your rosters)) OF course this is a handheld game, so you need to give ea sports some slack, especially since it is there first crack at a psp basketball game. It is the best nba game for psp and i would for the most part recommend buying it.

best game i have gotten
this is the best basketball game i have ever got. i love basketball so when i got a gameboy advance sp, i got a basketball game. shaquille o neal looked like a nerd and tim duncan looked alcoholic. in psp though, the graphics are awesome if you pick center court mode instead of broadcasting. i feel like i am right in the action. the best game ever!

If you have a psp and you like basketball get this game. This game has unbelievable graphics for handheld. When i first got this game i played it for Little bit more than 3 weeks straight. You can the play all-star weekend, beat record made by star players, play season, play playoffs, and more!!!!. I ecomend this game for basketball lovers.

Nba live 06 is an amazing game for the psp. It really shows the beauty of the console. It has everything from season games to slam dunk contests. The graphics are one of the best. Its really hard to let go of especially if your playing season mode.
But it could be better....

First of all the controls were kinda hard to master (Being that this is my first game for the PSP). But you get used to it after a while and it gets better.

Also, the loading times are insane. If you are playing online, the game freezes about every minute for like 7 seconds. If you turn off the PSP while the game is running and turn it back on later, you gotta wait like 15 seconds for it to start again(might as well go back to home and reload game again).

The multiplayer is ok, only there arent so many people on because PSPs are really expensive, but if people are on its ok.

The slam dunk contest and 3 point shootout are really hard to get used to. But its alot of fun when you get the hang of it.

It would also be better if the game had some kind of practice mode so you can get better at it without time or other things in your way.

Overall, this game is amazing and its a must buy,whether you like basketball or not.
