Fine survey of finishing methods
This is an amazing video, how to prepare the wood to finish (plus stripping old pieces), then proceeds through oil, lacquer, varnish, and french polishing. The French polishing section was particularly good, as it sounds so complicated. Mr. Klausz explained exactly what he was doing, how and why it worked as it did. It's actually pretty simple, with some practice.
