Great all-around tent...
This is a great tent for a variety of reasons. Having 4 large windows keeps this tent relatively cool even on hot days and having the rainfly with deep, large overhangs is fantastic. I had 2 of the windows opened at least 2/3 the way while it was raining and not a drop of water even came near the windows. The tent and fly are made of a very respectable weight for waterproofing purposes. Though others have mentioned seam sealing it, I've had it in a respectable rainstorm and not a drop of water came in, though it's still reasonably new (perhaps for next camping season I should consider seam sealing it). There are 2 very deep vents at the top of the tent that allow superior air flow even if the windows are closed up (i.e., you can use a catalytic heater in it without worry of asphyxiating). It is sharp as can be when set up and makes other campers wonder where they can get one. It has some nice interior features such as a gear loft (I don't use mine only because I like to be able to stand up), a sizeable detachable corner 2 shelf unit, a small detachable triangular shaped mesh storage bag and 2 bottle holders. I use a cot in mine as well as a camping closet/dresser/storage unit and have ample room for either a chair and a potra-potty inside if I'm alone or space for another full cot if someone else is with me. I am an above knee amputee (who wears a prosthesis) who camps alone much of the time and can set this up in under 10 minutes by myself without difficulty.
Two things to watch out for: 1. the rainfly can be a bit clumsy to put on if it's windy since it is almost kite-like. 2. I don't like the plastic stakes that come with this at all - I highly recommend the 10" nail-type stakes (the ones with the green on top that has a hole in it to attach the fly). The nail-type stakes work great in both soft ground (not sand) and in more rocky terrain.
For an individual or family who camps more than twice a year, the purchase of this tent is a no-brainer. Sure, you can get a tent about the same size for about 1/3 the cost, but you'll regret it compared to what you get with this tent. With proper care there's no reason this tent shouldn't last 7-10 years for the frequent camper. In fact, most people would give up camping before this tent would give up on them.

The best tent you'll ever buy.
This is my second Eureka Sunrise tent. The first one lasted me 16 years and this one is defiantly an improvement over my old one. It's the perfect design for a dome tent with great air flow. You can actually leave the windows open when it rains. I shopped around for a new tent but the quality of Eureka can not be surpassed.

Worked well on RAGBRAI
We bought this tent to use on RAGBRAI - the Bicycle tour that crosses Iowa with 15,000 - 20,000 riders during the last full week of July each year. It worked well. We needed a tent that could be erected quickly, and taken down almost as quickly, and this worked well. We had researched for a tent for this specific use, and decided on the 9x9 Sunrise, as being large enough for two people and all their gear for a week of erecting and then packing -- traveling across Iowa with a new campsite each evening, and the gear to be loaded each morning on a Ryder truck and unloaded each afternoon, by a crew who toss the gear from the truck to color coded piles.
The tent erected in 5 minutes, if both my husband and I were working, and this included staking the loops out. Inside we had a double bed air matress, 3 large duffle bags, two portable folding captains chairs and an open bag that held our linens (pillows, towels, light weight sleeping bags, and sheets). There was still room to get around the matress inside, and the gear loft came in handy to lay out our wet biking clothes to dry, by bedtime. The tent allows you to stand up, which makes it easier to get around inside. There are large screen windows, protected by the rain cover, which worked out well for ventilation.
Taking the tent down took a little longer, but it was not a noisy project, which was important, because we liked to be on our bikes by 5:30 am, and so wanted the packing process to go smoothly and quietly so we wouldn't bother our camping neighbors, and it did.
It rained on us several nights, but the tent dried out quickly when set up the next afternoon. We stayed dry inside, as did all our stuff - hi humidity not withstanding. We also had one night with gale force winds when we were awakened at 2:15 and all herded into the county fair buildings for safety. The tent came through it fine. The winds in Harlan were gusting to 50 mph. As we biked to Jefferson we saw plenty of trees and limbs down, and a few empty grain bins blown over from that storm (the winds in this area were worse).
I would buy the same tent again, for what we used it for - and we saw several others very similar to it in the campgrounds, so we weren't the only ones who had decided that this was a practical tent to have for RAGBRAI. A fellow team member came over (Pottawamie Pedalers, 86 members rode the whole week) and asked us about it, and decided it was what he wanted to have next year, when he does RAGBRAI again.

Fantastic Tent. Top Quality.
This is a great tent. I got this for my son's first camp out with the cub scouts and it took me a little bit to put it up the first time. But I had never put up a tent before EVER and my 6 year old son was not much help. Never the less once it was up it was very sturdy and luck would have it that we had a severe thunder storm with high winds and rain. We didn't get wet and the tent did not collapse in the wind, like some of the others. Some of the other campers ended up in their cars or just going home. The next morning I was very proud and satisfied with my purchase. Since that night, I have put up and taken down this tent like a pro in a flash and it has continued to be a great tent. We are actually going to purchase a bigger tent ... a Eureka no question about it. This particular tent fits 3 full size cots but doesn't leave much room for anything else, and we have another child now and need more space. Otherwise this particular tent has lots of storage areas and great ventilation.
