Disappointed
OK for traveling to place on a bare surface, but bunches up on the mat and provides no better "skidlessness" than an ordinary mat surface.

Not really Yoga-novice-proof
I bought the skidless mat, since I was bound for a summer Yoga-Retreat on Crete (Greece). I imagined to sweat a lot and from my experience sticky mats then tend to become not so sticky anymore.
I found the skidless mat OK, however not great. When you are not part yet part of more flexible Yogi-family, it's probably more a product to look forward to using once you are more "pretzel"-person, since otherwise you might get frustrated of what this mat is offering you.
My teacher I made this mat a gift, loves it. She definitely is Pretzel-Woman. So, decide for yourself. Hope this helps

long live my yogitoes towel!
i have been using my yogitoes towels for almost 5 years on a nearly daily basis and hence did wash it about 600 times together with my yoga clothes, but also other clothes like jeans etc... (obviously do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets or the towels will become slippery), the towels do not wear out and in my case did not bleed ( i have an orange, a yellow and a green matsized towel).

the towels have changed my practice and i feel stable and safe in any pose, particularly also at in the urdhva dhanurasana (wheel pose) variations, towards the end of the class, when the body is hot and the mat wet and slippery.
i have found the yogitoes towels the perfect travel companion; wherever i go i have a hygienic barrier on thoses stinky and filthy rental mats and i can practice safely.

over the years, i did observe many different students' commentaries which range from sheer happiness to have found a steady surface to practice to some who seem to be unhappy with the products.

those unhappy were people who sweat little - the towels only do work when you sweat. i have seen some people pour just a couple of drops of water on the spots where the hands and the feet are mainly place which helps for the first 5 to 10 difficult minutes before the sweat breaks.

additionally i have seen many people who seemed to skid on the towels, but when you do observe the students alignments (yep, that's my job), you see how these people are not aligned properly; ie some skid in downward dog and you'll realize they do not press down the fingers and the palm, but rest all the way on the ball of the palms. for those people, i do recommend placing a normal cotton handtowel accross the yogitoes towel. this will offer some grip for the palms or for the feet.

of all the products i have tested, yogitoes towels are by far the best to keep you on the mat and offering all the grip. the nextbest things is practice directly on rough concrete...

Perfect!
These "mats" are perfect for laying on top of your yoga mat during practice. They fit exactly to the size of a standard yoga mat. They do not shrink when washed (hang to dry) and they come in great, fun colors. I love my yogitoes!

Pricey but fantastic!
The only reason I'm leaving off a star is because I think it's a bit expensive.

After stating that though, I love my yogitoes mat. I have not had any bleeding problems with my blue/orange mat. I washed it in cold water the first time. Now, I throw in my mat, white towels and whatever yoga outfit I wore to class. I wash in one load (in cold) and dry in one load... and have not had a problem with the color rubbing off. I should note, I've thrown white tank tops in with it and the color has been fine. I also have not noticed a "less stickyness" even though I put mine in the dryer.

I just finally gave in and ordered a 2nd mat. I would highly recommend this for anyone who does hot yoga. You'll be glad to save your mat from sweat and stinkiness!
