Wonderful retrospective
"Magic Memories" delivers lots of them, as well as an interesting history of the sport and retrospectives of its greatest talents - not all of whom were world or Olympic champions. They're all there, from the barely-remembered Gillis Grafstrom to Sonja Henie down to Midori Ito and Brian Boitano. A wonderful gift for any skating fan, or someone who wants a quick rundown of this glorious sport.

Talk about exquisite!
This is a wonderful skating video that was beautifully done! It tells a lot about the history of skating, the ENTIRE unforgettable gold medal winning performances of skaters including Dorothy Hamill and Brian Boitano, and they have tons of very rare images and footage videos. This is definately a must-have for any figure skating fan!

Magic Indeed!
This is a wonderful video that traces the history of skating from Sonja Henie to Katharina Witt. Though it focuses on the American skaters, we get a glimpse of all major Olympic skaters. There is a poignant recounting of the plane crash that killed the US Figure Skating team, Peggy Fleming's graceful performances and of course, Dorothy's Olympic winning performance. Also profiled is Janet Lynn --arguably the best American skater ever -- and how unfair the scoring system in the 70s was to skaters like Janet who did not excel in school figures. The video includes the Olympic performances of Soviet pairs like the Protopopovs and of male single skaters such as the British John Curry and Robin Cousins and American Scott Hamilton. Also included: Torvill and Dean's perfect Olympic ice dancing performance, the battle of the Brians, the Battle of the Carmens (Katharina vs. Debbie), Tai and Randy's gold medal performance at the world championships.

This is skating before the tawdry events of Harding/Kerrigan, when skating was innocent -- and, yes, political -- but when amateur athletes skated for the love of the sport. This is an enjoyable review of the sport.

I would give it 11 stars if I could.
This video is the best skating video ever made! I really hope that it comes back into production so that everyone can own it. It has so many great performances by so many stars of the figure skating world. In fact, it's so good that if it ever comes back into print, I'm going to buy myself another one!
